I'd also just like to say thank you to those involved for posting more information about the incident here. i also live in the building and was awakened by screams and yells, and called the police. it's good to know that 15 other people did as well, and that a neighbor helped in restraining the man. i feel that as a resident of the building we have a right to know what happened and have been frustrated with the lack of information. i am so glad to hear that everyone involved is doing ok, also glad that there were several people in the apartment and further tragedy was avoided. i wish you all the best in the future.

Haven't checked back in a while. Not sure if anyone is still checking.'Concerned' asked how the victims are doing. Very well, thank you! My son is still dealing with some issues concerning his voice and the vision in one eye. His girlfriend is almost completely recovered. They can't wait to get back to their lives in a new apt in the city. I'm so thankful their spirit wasn't broken. Thanks for asking!

Yah! And Obama is black and he is white! But he is against crime and against anger like this because he is for change because we need that because otherwise homelessness will just continue because you just want the oil for your big cars and expensive plane rides to vacation in places where immigrants are forced to be your slaves because you are mean and they live off the earth and off love unlike you who live off oil and anger and the status qua because you hate change but change is good for us and bad for you so you are just angry and becoming angrier so instead of winning at the ballot box you are instead picking on a man living in a box, and that's just mean and that has to change!

The offender, oh I am sorry "Alleged Offender" was homeless and resided in a shelter near the victims' residence. All of the billions of dollars spent on homeless and mental illness isssues, the War on Poverty, The Great Society, it all cannot protect us. Hopefully Obama and more Democrat Give Away of our tax dollars will protect us. Also, Real Knife Control. If this offender had been White and the victims Black, would this have gotten more news coverage? Or do we just accept Black on White crime as normal for Chicago? Yah! And Obama is black and he is white!
