They could make this offer all year-round. People don't have the money to buy this.$22 for lunch? You can get a quality dinner for 2 for under $30. No wonder these restaurants are hurting.

No doubt. I can't remember the last time I went out to dinner, but I'm SURE it didn't cost $32.00 per person.

Yeah, maybe not your dinner at Denny's. I doubt you had a $32 dinner at the places participating in restaurant week(s)

Agreed!
A good meal can be had for much less:
Lunch for under $10 / person and dinner for under $25 (incl tax & tip) can be EASILY found if one makes even a minimal effort to find them these days!

of course you can make meals for cheaper...but not THESE meals. plus take into account that you are doing no prep work, cooking, cleaning, or serving...these meals are a good deal.

in addition, they give you a chance to eat something different.

save the obvious 'holier then thou' retorts for another topic.

I agree with the comment above. Look at the restaurants participating in restaurant week.... a lot of these are 2-4 star places which source quality, organic products prepared by staffs with exhaustive culinary training and care. You can certainly pay less-- at lower quality establishments. And it is your right to do so. But Restaurant Week is a treat for those into food. Consider how much money sports fans pay for tickets to a baseball/football game (not to mention the hot dogs/beers/sodas there). Some people are food fans, leave them be.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
