Sears revises offer for Restoration Hardware to $4.55 per share

Just add another failing retailer to the mix is going to fix everything, eh?

If people aren't buying overpriced junk from Restoration, why would they suddenly reverse a decade old exodus from Sears to buy the same junk there?

Obviously Tom Balles, you've never really shopped a Restoration Hardware. That uneducated comment say's so.

Restoration Hardware is a JOKE of a store, it's for people who don't have a clue. If you want to buy over priced junk, than it is the store for you.

We have more knick-knaks than a thrift store now. We can't sell
the stuff we have....80% of it goes clearance.And it doesn't sell then
either.

Again, I'll just say! UNEDUCATED...Have you ever purchased anything from Restoration Hardware?
The towels that they sell are unmatched by anyone..The furniture is well made and beautiful. They always have really unique things over the holidays. And the customer service is unbeaten by anyone! You both sound bitter.
Are you Pottery Barn employees or did you get canned from Resto? Mark my words when the housing market improves Restoration Hardware will be unstoppable!(And NO I don't work for them) I'm just a customer!!!!

Restoration has some of the worst customer service I have experienced. Every associate rallies at the registers and ignores the people that are shopping...hmm...I wonder why I haven't bought anything from them in almost 6 years. I wouldn't call those with convictions uneducated. The downfall of RH stock and the lack of brand loyalty speaks volumes and shows that frown upon RH as actually being wise beyond their years. There is nothing at a RH, a Pottery Barn, or any of the stores that you can't find some where else for less. As for qualities... chances are the vendoers are the same. It's just the name. To each their own... but for most of the people I know Restoration Hardware is not a top ten choice destination. By the way... we are all well educated.

I have always had great customer service at "RH" and all the people I know and mention RH to them they love it!Plus I have a bedroom set that not only will last a life time but will be an heirloom for my children.
I guess that is what makes America a great country we can agree to disagree. You just keep shopping at K-Mart! I'm okay with that!:-)

You are No Dumb Blonde! Restoration Hardware is excellent, with superior quality and fantastic customer service.
Hopefully the Sears deal is dead forever and the RH name will not be destroyed forever. There just are not many other stores in the league of RH.

I've purchased many furniture items from custom H&M to much less expensive Pottery Barn. RH does have some decent quality furniture, I do like Outdoor Furniture, but way overpriced. Only pick up pieces on sale at best. If you understand that furniture out of NC is less expensive and similar if not better quality, depending on manufacturer. Custom H&M sofa cheaper than RH, come on RH.

Where are you going to find better towels than restoration? Nowhere. Many pieces are unmatched and some are poorly made. Most of the furniture is high quality-mostly
