I understand getting on here just to throw bombs, but--I'm sorry--you're just not smart enough to do it well. When a statement is as absurd as Helms being better than Crosby or Toews dominating an inferior East, and your prose is peppered with nonexistent words, then people don't get mad. They just shake their heads sadly.
Hey fishy give OriginalIdiot a break, he's obviously not the sharpest pencil in the box. No doubt this is not the first time he's been made to look like a fool and no doubt it's not the last time, but you have to remember he's from michigan. lol. land of the mullet! lmao!!

It's a metaphor sweetie. Bettman has clearly chosen him for marketing purposes and therefore has a vested interest for him to win. Does it go to Mulder/Scully levels? No, but I'm starting to believe.
Most people think of marketing and envision people in suits at a board meeting. You picture Gary Bettman on his knees with a mouth full of Canadian man-meat. To each his own, I guess.

Whoa! Do you know what they say about Grammar Gestapos on a blog? What a Delusional Dork! Get your facts straight. I never said Helms is better than Crosby, I said that if he had Crosby's minutes he'd have Crosby's numbers. I've been following NHL hockey since 1954. I've plenty of Hall of Famers through those years. I stand by my staement. Toews is a better player and person than Crosby and the East is the weaker of the conferences. Especially defensively. The Ducks would have totally destroyed the Pens in a Finals.

I don't know which is worse: that your sexual fantasies in any way feature Gary Bettman, or that you want to talk about them on a sports forum.
You are such an hypocrite Trout. You write this then a couple of posts later you write the following;
"Most people think of marketing and envision people in suits at a board meeting. You picture Gary Bettman on his knees with a mouth full of Canadian man-meat. To each his own, I guess."
In an earlier post you called Zetterman a P*&sy(in your language). Well let's let these Good folks at this thread see just what a wonderful hero you have there in Crosby! What a fine example for marketing and kids,eh?

This is too weird: Detroit and Pittsburgh fans are having flame-wars on the Chicago Tribune's website?????
*I* wanted to post that I am a long-time Red Wings fan, who moved to Chicago 3 years ago and now I like the Blackhawks, too. My friends in MI AND in Chicago all think it's impossible to like both teams, and I'll root for Detroit over Chicago, but I've become a Hawks fan because I live here and watch them.
All I wanted to do was thank Chris Kuc for covering the Wings/Pens series. I've grown comfortable with his writing style and like to read his analysis.
I'm a long-time Wings fan that moved to Chicago 6 years ago and have come to love the Hawks. So being a fan of both teams is not impossible, Hawks games are a ton of fun! The Hawks Fans' hatred of Detroit gets old and childish but other than that the games are great fun (and the team has been phenomenal!)

Oh yes. I've been to that Fashion Capital of PA known as Butler. Geez, The Amish wear more modern clothing than you folks. The only mullets you see here are the Penn State students who come here to caddy when they graduate!

Isn't the internet wonderful? You got to go and look up the right word before you came back to play with your betters. You can stand by your arguments, but they just make you look stubbornly stupid. The fact is, you don't know anything about Crosby as a person (such as the fact that he does TONS of charity work in the Pittsburgh area, and took a BIG paycut to keep a great team together). As I said about one of your friends, you don't know anything about the Pens other than that they two players named Crosby and Malkin, which is the same as the average teeny-bopper girl who accidentally turned on Sportscenter knows.

I can't do anything about your man-crush on little Johnny Toews, but your comment on Helms is just going to keep everyone laughing at you.

How does saying the same thing twice qualify as "hypocrisy?" Just another word you don't know the meaning of, I guess.

Crosby and Malkin would be third liners in Detroit. Wings have 4 players with 30 or more goals. How about the Pens.....oh........ only two?
It's all about ice time. Wings play 4 lines the Pens usually only 3 and they will double up the "boys". O V E R R A T E D!

Why do you keep posting about the Pens?!! You're comments reveal--over and over and over--that you know nothing about them!! They have been rolling four lines all season long and through most of the playoffs. In game 3, it was Adams, Satan and Dupuis. If all you Motown blowhards are trying to prove is that the Wings are the deeper team, then I'd have to grant it to you, because the Wings are the deepest team in hockey. So stick to what you know, and say that. All of these attempts to analyze the Pens, though, are pathetic. You may be a hardcore Wings fan, but you're definitely not a hockey fan, since you're barely aware of anything happening outside Joe Louis arena.

No, but I wasn't correcting your grammar. Anybody, in a hurry, can leave out a comma. What you did was use a word that doesn't even exist, and that calls into question your general intelligence.

Amazing how you and Buttbuddie Bob Bob popped your head out of the sand after game 3. Where were you two after games 1 and 2? Guess you'll just drop off again when the Wings win tonight!

This is just too easy.
Ok, this thread is titled "Pittsburgh Penguins beat Detroit Red Wings 4-2" that would be game 3, meaning this thread didn't exist in games 1 and 2...Any more tidbits to share with us Einstein. Simpleton.

I'm realizing something: as hard as we're kicking ass here, we're basically just defending. These Redwing fans are much more prone to bashing the other team than we are, and I'm thinking it's a football thing. A couple of 0-16 whiners stamping their little feet and hurling impotent insults at the fans of the champs. It kind of makes sense now--don't know why it took me so long. It's doubly stupid, since their hockey team is so awesome. No need in the world for them to be so insecure.

what do you expect coming from detroit. loser fans from a city of losers. the hockey team is all they have going for them. it should be enough to sit back, keep your mouth shut and be secure with the many stanley cup victories.... but these fools have to come online and try to talk smack with Pittsburghers. Big mistake.
