Hey Rick...I used to work there in the 80's and enjoyed my time there. My heart goes out to those who lost their jobs, not to mention pensions, health insurance, etc..
A sidenote... St. Francis was also one of the places student nurses learned on the job. I was a student from South Suburban College... About St. Francis... There were homeless people that came into emergency there quite often needing care. One named Suzanne, an alcoholic... She came in often with internal bleeding in her stomach. Did you ever hear about her Rick? She was dying, her liver was done, jaundiced, bleeding, and she was miraculously healed (I was her student nurse... saw it myself. Jesus saved her life. I'm glad for her sakes there was a hospital there.)
