Dev, that would be the point wouldn't it?

You seem to think that it wasn't possible under Bush and now it is under Obama. I didn't say it dude, you did.

We will get government cheese once again…
There will be three girls for every boy….
And Hollywood will be able to bring back all those cheesy biker movies…..
Maybe even 2008bill will be able to tell how he single handedly won the war?
I forgot to add that I have heard there are tobacco companies in ready for the day cannibus is nationally legalized. <no confirmed source...just some insider trade talk>. I do know some sod farmers that would love to switch to something a bit more profitable.

That may be because you live in a state with near 10% unemployment, there's not much room for growth and development in desired locations in your region.
There was just a completion of a 6 Billion Dollar Project in Vegas, in locations where unemployment isn't beyond 8% construction workers aren't complaining. There are less than 15 States in America with unemployment in the predicment and range as Georgia's Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina are all in similar conditions.
That's not suprising that region is and has always been a economic wasteland.
I am currently bidding on a government TARP funded project in down town Atlanta.(Redevelopment of a bad area). This bid if accepted will not make or break the company). There are infrastructure construction jobs available, but no commercial building or housing. I don't see that happening for at least 3 years. Even then it will not be as it was. I do think you are correct. Many will need to retrain, otherwise they will be on government dole for the rest of our lives. I just think you are unrealistic in folks moving from region to region to find employment. I think for the general uneducated unemployed populace that is unrealistic.

Obama voted for TARP. Like most people, he had questions, but his support was clear. It was clear because he would get to control the rest of it. <g>

And don't forget that Obama was in the Senate (albeit a zero) for a couple of years.

The issue is that things would normally be better by now. Obama is hurting the economy and the middle class and this is really the story.

The southern States were Unemployment is high, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and Kentucky were the same states who economic development strategies were to give Tax incentives, lands and money to foreign manufactures to open production facilities in those states.
Those southern states gave Millions in future tax revenues to Foreign Manufactuers. The Same States playing host to ideas of revolution. How are those budget shortfalls playing out now?
Obama gave incentives to American Manufactuers with repayment schedules slated to be completed in the near future and there was total outcry of socialism. Why is it accepted in those States for Foreign Manufactures and not acceptable for American Corporations with planned repayment schedules?
Simple. Because Obama's efforts are not designed to make things better; they are designed to make things "equal."

Obama's business efforts have been abysmal. Unemployment will stay high for many years while the middle class is destroyed due to Obama's efforts to transform the once vibrant economy to a Socialism.

I understand that in Wisconsin, more people now work for the government than do in manufacturing. The growth of government is terrible as it produces little.

We should work to minimize government, not expand it like Obama is doing.

Things should bet getting better by now, but they are not.

Your stupidity is showing again.
It is like attempting to educate you... it is pretty much pointless. That is why I no longer attempt it.
Are you playing the "Way it NEVER was" again?
Just look how great everything was in December 2008.

1. War missions completed, troops home with their families
2. Economy booming, no recession in sight.
3. Borders secured, Immigration plan in place.
4. Health care costs under control, all Americans with affordable health care plans.
5. Social Security on the road toward solvency.
6. Public Education system improved, test scores improved considerably.
7. An alternative energy plan in place and oil dependence at all time low!
8. Housing market in it's best condition ever
9. Stock market strong

Now all of this ruined by this democrat! What a shame!

I didn't hear about not giving gifts, but I did see an interview with the Obama's and he got snippey when Michele said he always makes out better. It was sort of awkward as you could really see the tension.

You're silly. 2008 was a year ago. Look at 2009; what a mess.

And 2010 is look bad too. Retail is going to be trainwreck in the coming months, commercial real estate is another coming mess, and the mortgage problems are moving into the prime area.

Quick living life in the rear-view mirror. Things should have been better by now.

Basically, Californians no longer have a vote in the Senate. Nancy Pelosi is not a Senator. She doesn't give a hoot about California...only her district of San Francisco. Our two senators are both Jewish democrats who have their own agendas that have nothing to do with helping out California. Arnold? That's a laugh.
He yields no power with Madwoman Pelosi.
However, for the record, you need to check your statistics. For every dollar of Federal taxes paid by Californians, California receives .79 in Federal funding. Pennsylvania, on the other hand, receives $1.06 for every $1.00 contributed. Californians are responsible for contributing funds toward reduction of the national debt while Pennsylvanians feed at the Federal trough and add to the debt.
http://www.taxfoundation.org/files/sr139.pdf
You think I am standing up for Rendell and the Libs who run this sorry ass state? HARDLY! I also don't care about any 'stats' as they are usually incorrect. California dug it's own grave, fed funding or not!

Here is the point which seems to escape you, with 36 State with Unemployment below 10% why would you subject yourself and your family to living and remainding in a state that is an economic waste land, and unemployment hovering or above 10%?
Sounds like a personal choice resulted in the job status of a citizens unemployed coupled wtih lack of sufficient professional skills and, the insuing consequences suffered are being blamed on Politicians, where's that attitude of Self Responsibility and taken credit for one's own actions.
Why would an individual allow the Government to do for them and their obligations what apparently those same individuals are willing to do for themselves? If there is ample employment in New Jersey, why would someone remain in California? More pointedly, how is a decision like this President's Obama's fault?
Not everyone can just up and move a whole family stupid. It's been hard for many families to barely make it.
As for me I moved!
Work is now drying up here, since we were last to be hit on this side of USA.
So I myself am moving to another state fora better job.
But the fact of the matter and you are MISSING THE POINT.
Is this: the states in which you are referring to, could not in anyway support that amount of work load needed to get everyone working. Not even enough homes and apartment space to suffice the moves.
Your logic and thinking is a foolish way to go about it.
You need to look at impact fiscal impacts in both areas as well. Like if a mass exodus occurs, and it leaves a void for all the people moving.
It will effect local merchants, apartment complexes, rental homes etc. A huge trickle down effect from it!
Now a mass move into a particular area would generate huge job growth within the region to it's max capacity. Meaning it would take 2-4 years to even build enough homes rentals and all. There is no way it could work.
Once again another typical liberal, to stupid to look at end result.
Dude get a clue and see what the end result would be.

1-I forgot top add. The reason I say it is his fault?
Let's start with stimulus money. What a joke. Was supposed to go for job growth through private sector. Instead it went to democrat controled areas by a 2:1 margin.(Fact look it up).
2- he keeps spending and spending. And now healthcare which it will bring down the economy.(they already said there is going to be a higher tax rate across the board to be able to fund it). Fact
3- That being said on the topics above!
If the president did things really for the people? He would have spread the money evenly per capita. But he didn't. He also never really told us how much it would effect us.
