Are you serious? I cannot believe that you are defending this young lady (being nice with that statement). This has nothing to do with welfare, this has nothing to do with being a whore. This is about self-respect and an image that she wants to leave with her classmates. Her momma need her a#@ whooped, fashion designer- dont think so. I can wrap a curtin around my a@# and get a better dress than that. When a young lady feels soo ugly inside, that she has to show her body like that-she got some deeper issues!!

Mr Nyc

If you saw a picture of your mother dressed like that, how would you feel? If your sister had a dress on like that to go out, how would you feel? I hope that if you ever have children, if you dont already, that you would not let your baby girl walk out the house looking like that!!!!

How much do you that train would have covered her? She didn't have to be arrested, but Im sure she was making a big scene. She yelled that she wanted her money back, if she had stood on the corner long enough in that dress, she could have made that money back in about 15min's.

I am so sorry to hear that she had to miss one of the most important day of her life. But there has been rules for at least a couple years about prom attire. These young people do not take anything serious these days. The way they dress, how they act no one could seem to tell them anything. I really think if they parents can't get keep in controll we need to work together and help our young people. They are the new generation!

Maybe this will be a lesson learn to her and the next young lady who tries to wear nothing to a prom. Please ladies have more respect for yourself. We know you are beautiful!

The dress code was in the video I saw.
The outfit did not meet the dress code even after pinning it around.
The girl was attending the school, its reasonable to expect she was aware of the dress code by Prom night. Dress codes are normally available for both parents and students, and often if not always, are provided at the start of the school year.

Smh some of these comments are just stupid and ignorant if you saw the video it does not look that bad and i doubt the school even handed out letter stating what the dress code was .. n they refused to let her in even after they pinned her tail of her dress around her.. and did not let her in because of the dress or because they say she had no panties on.. plus they keep saying dress code but i dont see anyone saying what it actually was

From a girl of the same age group, I can say that this dress was disgusting and unnecessarily revealing. When girls in my high school wore dresses like that, they were praised and granted all of the attention in the world, and it absolutely frustrated me. Girls nowadays are so trashy and have such little respect for themselves- that's why so many young girls end up with pregnancies and STDs (1 in 4 girls 18-25 contracts an STD IN THIS TIME PERIOD). The dress was worthy of refusal into the prom, and her attitude that was paired with it was worthy of arrest. Girls need to stop dressing like prostitutes and acting like delinquents on the Maury show and start showing some respect- for themselves and everyone else who has to look at the parts of them showing through minimal clothing.

I believe that it is our society that has failed these poor teen girls. I mean sure we all would like to point the finger at the girl or at the parents and ask were they were but suppose they were right there warning her how bug of a mistake she was making wearing the bad choice of clothing outside and some of the coments made are just absurd she is not a hoe a walefare recipeint she doesn't deserve to die she is just a poor teenage girl growing up in this world where the hiphop culture is slappin bi**@#'s and pimping wh%$&es and disrespecting women teaching young boys dont date a girl unless she got a car house money that they can leach off of teaching our young men that its ok for them to walk around with their pants sagging off of their a@@es looking like they are inviting people to their buts all the time like they are switchhitters yeah its ok for them to dress slouchy and unfortunatly hollywood paints a screwed up picture for the whole world the movie juno case and point teaching young girls its ok to get pregnant as a teen have a potty mouth give up the child for adoption unfortunatly this is not the way life works I was a single teen mother and this is not an easy job raising boys in these mean streets and adoption forget it I got so many friends who grew up a ward of the state who was sexually abused or beaten in the so called loving homes they were placed in for protection so to all you people who are looking for something or someone to blame blame the society in which you are creating on a daily bases where you are letting same sex marriages be legal and letting movie star hookers parade around on tv and in front of the teens in clothes that is barely covering the private parts or blame the secular rappers who never have a positive word of encouragement for these teens who write about they dont care if the girl is a prostitute or they are in love with a stripper I mean come on people this society needs to be changed as a whole don't start mudslinging over the small rocks but leave the big boulders unturned.

Really. Don't you think it would be wise to learn how to spell and write before posting? I can make out some of what you say and may even agree with parts of it. But most of it, I can't understand. I do take exception with one thing. It is the parents responsibility to instill in their daughter how to dress appropriately and enforce it.

I have taken the time to read all of the responses to this dress and I to think we are giving this issue too much airtime. This young lady really needs guidance. I understand it is he right to wear what she wants but we all need to remember that there are guidelines and rules. I have to conform to the dress code rules at my job and she should have taken the dress code rules into consideration. That is a bit much for high school this isn't the fashion runway where this sort of thing is acceptable and most of the time the person wearing it is getting paid to do so. We as parents needs to do just that PARENT!

Why are so many black people so self destructive?

If you are gonna stereotype, do it right. It's not that black people are self destructive, it's a class thing. Get it right! Poor people not given the opportunities for better education tend to make poor decisions and some make destructive decisions for themselves.

Get over yourself! This girl makes her own clothes and has her own fashion. First of all you don't even know how to spell HO and second of all, way to go for the minority welfare hit. What's wrong with welfare? Believe it or not, some people do not make enough money to live off of. I am one of them. You all digust me at your snap judgments and your insecurity.Just because she isn't wearing what you would pick out for yourself or your daughter does not mean she is uneducated in the least! Get with it! Poodle skirts have been out for a while and mini skirts are in. Believe me neither I nor any of my family members would be wearing this outfit, but I think it's okay if someone else wants to. Whatever happened to don't judge a book by it's cover. Don't even make me go into double standards!
is it really spelled ho? I thought it was hoe too... You learn something every day, I guess.
