Your god is not all-powerful. He's a wimp. He and the Israelites got into a war with some heathen tribes with chariots of wood and your god and his warriors defeated them. But when they got into it with heathens with chariots of iron, they were defeated. They wimped out and went home:
"And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron." from _Judges,_ Ch. 1
Now who in hell would want to worship such a puny god. Lucifer is more powerful than that. He unleashed weapons of mass destruction all over the skies of Iraq.
My my, you are one confused soul, I will pray for you.

If that's how they want to spend the money. Personally, I could think of better ways Christians could spend money in the community. Like feeding the homeless, perhaps.

The man now known as Jesus loves no one because he has been dead for two thousand years. Also, sin does not exist. You speak nonsense.

Which "god" do these Billboards refer to? It can't be the christian/muslim god as that is the same god, the jewish god? Both christianity and islam are sub-branches of judaism, directly descended from the old testament and the jewish stories. Why don't these "caring" people help some out of work Americans with that money they are wasting on Billboards?

News Flash: This is a belief NOT a fact, sweet in it's intent but nevertheless to spout this nonsense on an open forum is what they call proselytizing. WE DON'T LIKE PEOPLE WHO PITCH THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AT US. Whether or not you think so religion is HIGHLY personal choice and should remain such. The parishioners who support these billboards are wasting their hard earned $$$$. As has been suggested, spend the money on something worthy of Jesus.

Don't hold your breath you stupid bible thumper. There's no heaven nor hell aside from what people create here on this earth and theirs no god, the great teddy bear in the sky. Sad, you live your whole life in fear of something that doesn't exist? Not me dude.

Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistant that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.[Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason]
AMEN!! LMAO.
I also love that OP is all into the "Under God" BS while proudly representing his Confederate Flag avatar. Damn ironic!!!

Free,
Let me start off with the statement that I will not try to convince you or convert you about God things. That's not the reason for my post.

You state that "sin does not exist". Can you tell me if it's a "sin" to murder? How about stealing from your employer? Is it a "sin" to lie to your parents? Is it a "sin" to bully a child or discriminate against someone because of their beliefs, color of their skin, or because of their sex?

There are certain things we expect of people that live in a civil society. Forget those things that fall under the realm of laws. I'm thinking more about the moral principles and ethical standards we all believe are necessary in a peace-loving society. Your use of the term "sin" must be very narrow indeed if these moral and ethical boundaries don't in some way steer your daily decisions.

Now, you may not call it "sin", but you will agree that those things that are believed to be "sinful" do exist (murder, lies, adultery, stealing, etc)? If so, it's just symantics and a difference in what terminology you would use for those things that do exist. Correct?

My Dog,
Can you explain what's ironic about "Under God" and the Confederate flag? The civil war wasn't fought with opposing forces lined up for and against God or any theology. Had the South prevailed, both the Northern and Southern nations would both have continued to be Christian nations. They would have been two nations under God. The Confederate flag did not stand for non-Christian beliefs. It stood for states rights and individual freedom from a powerful centralized government.

By the way, I love that billboard that has the "One Nation, Indivisible" message. Nothing wrong with standing in support of our country. Everyone should. I love a patriot.

Good posts! I'm another Blue Dog Democrat. It's kinda funny that it took me all these years to realize it, but better late than never I say.

TELL ME HOW WHAT YOU SAID MAKES SENSE, RIGHT NOW!

Where, physically, will the burning take place, especially in relation to Earth's current position in the UNIVERSE? Give me exact coordinates.

How can ANYTHING burn forever? What kind of fuel source is that? Does body fat undergo some kind of ultimate-hippy-solution-to-all -our-energy-woes-wow-it-burns- forever change?

Tell me! Or STFU. Maybe you just better STFU and splat out more of your borderline-retarded babies.

The center of the earth is where you place your imaginary hell, is it? Are you always that stupid? The question is rhetorical thus I give the answer, YES! If you live your life out of fear of some ugly vengeful god you deserve pity.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Scorpio

Watch out when dealing with other people early on, because it will be awfully easy to get bogged down in petty details. What's more, as the Moon moves into Scorpio later in the day, it's very subjective so you may find it quite hard to separate your emotions from your thoughts. This isn't a good day to discuss anything important, unless you want to go round in circles.
