Ayn Rand despised Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance , and all other social safety net programs, and she wanted all these programs abolished. Ayn Rand taught personal greed and unabashed selfishness. Ayn Rand said, "Social Security and Unemployment Insurance are hammocks that the people relax in, and these programs encourage laziness and a reluctance to work." Tell that to your 80 year old Grandpa.
Ayn Rand was a snooty social elitist. "Ayn Rand said, "The poor and the working class are parasites feeding on the wealth accumulated by their intellectual superiors." Ayn Rand despised Christianity. Why, just this spring Bob Barr was picked to be the Keynote Speaker at the GAY & LESBIAN Log Cabin Republican Convention in Dallas,Texas. In his speech to the GAY & LESBIAN Republicans, Bob Barr profusely apologized for his part in the passage of the DOMA. Barr went on to state, that he is now a Libertarian, and he referenced Ayn Rand in his speech. Joh McCain's daughter also spoke to the Convention. Ole John couldn't make it, maybe next year. The Gay & Lesbian Republican Leaders said they filed the Law Suit in Federal Court to repeal the Military's policy, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." They declared victory at the Convention, since the Obama Administration chose not to fight the Gay & Lesbian Republicans over the issue.
Have you ever noticed how easily the Republicans fool the Christian Evangelicals? My,my,there is now way to tell how many Gay & Lesbian Republicans have been supported by Evangelical Christian pastors. Looks to me like the best thing the Christians can do is take God back to church, and out of the political arena. Jesus never was impressed with those who pray loudly out in public.

Jesus never advocated Christians to stay out of the political arena. On the contrary he said, render unto Caeser what is Caesar's, render unto God what is God's. He very much was concerned about the world and politics. When one of his disciples asked Him about taxes, He advocated paying taxes. I'll have to hand it to ya, Phantom. You did a wonderful job of dispensing disinformation. I don't call leftists liars. I am tooo sensitive for that. I call them Bureaus of Disinformation. They are for the right to bear arms, and long to see everyone who wants to work, gainfully employed. They want the Word of God taught, and prayers prayed from the church house, the school house, and the white house. They want to return to the teachings of our founding fathers before this country falls under from God witholding His blessings on the USA. Get smart! Get Wisdom!

True enough. If the wealthy "only want to create jobs", then why aren't they doing so?. They have received $millions thanks to Bush's tax cuts or, as I like to refer to it, Bush's Wealthfare, yet the number of REAL, good paying jobs in America is declining. American corporations are literally swimming in cash, yet they are not creating an appreciable number of jobs. Instead, they are distributing the money to their wealthy cronies in order to buy more political influence. I guess this is how they make lives better. Their lives, at least.

Here's a little wisdom for you. The Tea party claims that the founding fathers were Christians who founded this nation to be a Christian nation.

In his book, "Seven Who Shaped Our Destiny: The Founding Fathers As Revolutionaries", Richard B. Morris identifies the following seven as the founding fathers of our nation:

John Adams
Benjamin Franklin
Alexander Hamilton
John Jay
Thomas Jefferson
James Madison
George Washington

Of these seven, only two, Adams and Jay were devoutly Christian, as evidenced by their deeds and writings. Franklin, Washington, and Jefferson were, in all respects, diests, and nothing is written about the religious views of Madison and Hamilton.

Only two of seven were devout Christians and even they saw the wisdom of separating church and state.

Perhaps the "two devout christians" were enough for God to bestow His blessing on our country. Or maybe the "two" had enough wisdom to persuade the others to at least adhere to God's way of establishment of the nation.
I have found that in the midst of suffering, most, not all, but most, reach their hands,arms and heart to God. I pray that the majority of "we the people" are to that point. God will hear and answer our prayer and heal our land, as he promised.

My point, which you missed entirely, is that, despite the claims by the Tea Party, the "founding fathers" were not all devout Christians bent upon establishing a CHRISTIAN nation. There is nothing in any of the documents that they wrote founding this country that, in any way, establishes the United States of America as a CHRISTIAN nation. These men believed in God and sought his blessings for the nation they founded. However, Christ was not a significant part of that equation. Look at their wordings as they are written, not as some one interprets them for you. This nation was founded on the principle that people were free to worship as they chose. Primarily, they were free to be Jews, Catholics, or Protestants, since those were the dominant European faiths of the time. However, they were very careful not to favor one faith, religion, or denomination over another. They had seen the religious wars of England and Europe, as well as the persecution of the Jews and wanted to make sure that that did not happen here.

Also, why would God favor only the Christians in bestowing His blessings? Why would He not bestow his blessing upon all people of good faith regardless of the faith they followed if they asked? When did Christians become the "chosen" people on Earth? I never read that in the Bible.

Your fair share does not reside in my wallet. Facts are the so called progressives want to take from us that earned money and give to irresponsible brood sows and give it to them. Another name for these so called progressives is Dimocrats.
