"Very, very good. Excellent reading"
The so-called publisher of this poorly written, full of childish dialogue is American Book Publishing. So-called in that they charge writers to getpublished -read that as vanitypress- but claim to be otherwise. Merely Google the name and read all about them and their founder C. Lee Nunn. To make matters worse, this is the type of marketing suggestions they provide, after they get the writer to buy hundreds of copies of their own book for promotion. The problem, the books are over-priced by as much as threefold. The problems continue, most are pure garbage. Worse still, the writers actually think they are good writers because someone with no publishing experience tells them they are. There are other such "have you read..."posts regarding this "novel". Go read an excerpt as presented and see for yourself how absolutely appalling the writing is. Then go ahead an order a copy, bet the writer will gladly autograph it -another ABP suggestion feeding on the writer's belief they are experts at the craft. |

Read an excerpt to see how truly bad -after editing- this novel is. Then read David Burton Flint's web site -he, perhaps American Book Publishings poster boy- read any of his posts, his quotes on the ABP site his excerpts; All totally amatuerish is the best to be said of his to read really awful writing abilities. Good golly, there's someone really convinced he can write. Real problem, when he offers quotes, addes support to this phoney publisher, all he does is aid in getting more fools to sign and hand over their money. He should be ashamed, or at least live in his own dilussion.
As with far too many self-published hawking their garbage at inflated prices, they need to take a few classesin basic writing skillsand not think some editor will polish what certainly wasn't from the start even a gem in the rough. |

Most books are sold through book stores. Many new titles are selected after reading a review, recommendation from a friend and/or after the reader has browsed the contents.
So ask the American Book Publishing writers to provide an excerpt, for what they charge it is not an outrageous request. Odds are they will decline, inform you the publisher thinks it unwise. Perhaps American Book Publishing truly knows how poorly written the books are. More likely it'sfounder C. Lee Nunn doesn't want toomany examplesof the garbage she lets out the door floating around so all can see what can be expected if they sign and pay. Embarassing for the writer, imagine what was submitted originally. |

Appears the writer of Mahan Mountain removed his website. Could be he saw it as a waste of money; with no promotion from his supposed publisher, American Book Publishing, how can any reader be expected to even look for the site in order to buy. Perhaps he realized he was duped, perhaps he finally realized just how poorly written and edited the book is. Perhaps he lost enough money and came to the conclusion all ABP writers come to: ABP is a scam perpetrated to bilk money from writers. Atleast he didn't help promote the scam.
Wish other ABP writers like David Burton Flint would see the light, understand they are not writers, their skills lacking, and more, stop promoting ABP thus duping other writers into sending in their money and getting nothing in return, not even the satisfaction of having a good book; for after editing, what Mr.Flint presents is truly worse than what has been presented by Mr. Rogers. |

Writers thinking of signing with C. Lee Nunn's aka Cheryl L. Nunn aka Nathan Fitzgeral's American Book Publishing, consider the following.
She had no publishing experience prior to opening her company. She will expect you to pay a near $800 to get manuscript in print, sounds like a vanity press doesn't it. She will claim to provide editing services, merely read excerpts from Mahan Mountain to see the lack of editorial expertise her staff provides, but then they are paid in royalties and the average sales of ABP titles is less than five copies a year so there is no real talented editors working for her. She will claim the deposit is to make certain you will be active in promotion -meaning you will be coherced into buying 500 to 1000 copies to send to reviewers -most reviewers DO NOT ACCEPT SELF-PUBLISHED BOOKS FOR REVIEW, as such they will be ignored. Sounds fishy; consider Cheryl Nunn as a financial planner was exposed as a churn and burn investment adviser, had her licence suspended, was caught infringing on a trademark, has been caught plagarizing. Given the majority of money ABP makes is from writers not readers it makes sence she doesn't care what garbage is turned out. |

If American Book Publishing actually relied on book sales to readers and not writers buying in bulk; if ABP really cared about their reputation as in getting reviewers interested enough to consider reviewing they'd be here screamiong their heads off, defending this book as best they could. That is if they cared. All C. Lee Nunn cares about is if the writer paid her upfront, if she can coherce them to pay her to get their rights to their book returned, or best if she can con them into believing her marketing techniques really will work, all it takes is buying 500 to 1000 of the writers own books and mailing these to reviewers
