I would move to Charlotte in a minute. Great Clean & Fun City. I was in the process of getting a transfer from N.Y. when the company I was working for closed. If I can get a job there I would be out of NY tomorrow. The people, weather, cost of living and the life style is wonderful. I have been there 15 times in the past year and half and never had a bad time!

Maybe you should check out the crime rate in Charlotte.When you visit a place you aren't around to see what really goes on.Look before you leap-I wish I would have investigated a little more.Moving to N.c. was a BIG MISTAKE!

I am from the NYC area, so I am not surprised with crime. What I am surprised with is the senseless crime. I get the gas station robberies, pizza shop robberies, and mugging the taxi-driver. What I don’t get is the amount of home invasions. Now, that is really personal. When crime reaches a personal level, it gets scary.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure this sort of crime happens everywhere; I am just impressed with how frequent it ‘appears’ to happen in the Charlotte area. Listen to TT, look before you leap. Secondly, be prepared to purchase in a more expense area. If you purchase an affordable home, you will be stuck living amongst the lower end of the social scale. And, there is plenty of that down here.
