People don't hate the users, they hate the inconsiderate behavior of smokers when they don't respect the rights of people who don't appreciate the smell and stench of cigarette smoke where it's not permitted. Lighting up in a crowded area and cupping it in your hand isn't going to hide your lack of consideration for others. You do it in theater lobbies, restaurant waiting areas, and in bathgrooms where there are signs that say " NO SMOKING". It's this behavior that's getting laws passed nationwide against tobacco use. Wake up smokers and mind your manners before you are taxed and restricted right out the door! Peace!

Not to mention the health hazards of second hand smoke.

They have to keep us hating on each other for one reason or another. Lord only knows what We The People could do if we ever stopped listening to them and actually paid attention to what they were doing.

Before the ban,we had areas to smoke.Nonsmokers invaded those areas, and drove us outdoors.Where I live, the owners have moved the party outside, and now they gripe about that.We can not win.I'll just stay at home and keep my money. But that's just me.

People that ban tobacco are sadistic! THey love to see other people suffer. Let me ask you this question would enjoy seeing someone going hungry? Nicotine withdrawals are way worse than hunger!

There again, it's the bad behavior of the users. No one wants to see someone hark up a big wad of tobacco and spit it on the sidewalk when you walk in a restaurant. No one wants the wads of tabacco in the urinals or spit bottles in public. It's bad upbringing and bad habits that get things banned, not the product. With so much known about the dangers of tongue, lip, jaw, and gum cancer, why would anyone want to tempt the "Big C" with dipping and chewing a known carcinogen?

Do you enjoy seeing other people suffer? Nicotine withdrawals are like having the flu and being real hungry!

Are you trying to justify smoking in areas where it's not wanted or permitted? Are you defending a nicotine ADDICT's bad behavior? What are you saying?

There are a lot bigger problems in the Country then who does or does not smoke. No one's rights are 'more special' then another group.

Right, but there is a time and place for everything. Smoker's bad behavior is why so many laws have been passed against them in public. They just don't get it. The nicotine has dulled their senses, respect of others and good judgment and they keep making matters worse.

Why is it bad behavior for me to smoke? It's a legal product that I enjoy. I never smoke where I'm not supposed to,and I never throw butts down. Where is my bad behavior?

You smell like a dirty ashtray when you come back inside

If I shake a smoker's hand, I will immediately find an excuse to find a bathroom to wash my hands

If you really act as you say, you're one of the few. It's the one's that offend others that get laws passed against you but a smoker would not dare remind a fellow smoker that what he's doing is not right. Friday night, crowded football stadium, no smoking signs everywhere, people still light up and offend those around them. Saturday night, crowded movie theater lobby,no smoking area, guy lights up anyway and cups in his hand so no one will know, yea right. Finally the manager came over and asked him to go outside but the smoking guy just mashed out the butt in the carpet and turned his back on manager. As a smoker, what do you suggest to get people to respect no smoking areas?

And to you that is bad behavior?Everyday I put up with something I can't stand, but I don't think they are bad people. And I don't look down on people because I don't like the they look or smell. I took two bullets serving my country in the Marines, only to come home and be looked down upon because I smoke...sad.

I assure you that I never throw butts down,my wife will confirm that. She is a non smoker and gives me a fit about bringing them home in my pocket. As for respecting no smoking areas,I say fine people. The man that smashed it in the carpet should have been arrested.I try to respect everyones space, but we have been pushed out,it just don't seem that we have a place anymore.Just my opinion.

I don't smoke but how was it the propaganda on smoking started??? Who wanted to do away with the tobacco barons? Yet they put alcohol in their bodies.

What happened to those good commercials on tv back in the 50's and 60's about "Doctors smoke more Camels than any other cigarette". Then the propaganda started but not alcohol. How about the propaganda to limit families to 2 children --"overpopulation." That was the cry that went out. Suddenly you seen families of 2-3 children. Yet our borders were open to every country in the world.

People don't think for their self or have minds of their own or even have simple common sense.

Just like 911--why were we going to the wrong war and changed the enemy?

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Aquarius

A certain person is supposed to be in a position of authority but they don't seem to be making much sense at the moment. They may be confused about something or experiencing a lack of confidence. Alternatively, maybe you're the one who's not reading the signs properly and who is finding it hard to work out what's going on. If so, proceed with caution.
