And by the way, in this country, you are innocent until proven guilty. I knew Don, the man that was shot and killed, let's not disrespect him in this thread with off topic BS and trash talking. I still haven't heard who the two guys were that took the shooter down and held him for the Police. Would love to buy them a few beers and a dinner.

i heard that the man with the gun was a veteran and the television show was something pertaining to the war currently going on and the man asked if the channel could be turned b/c he didnt want to hear what was going on in the war area he just came from and then the victim came up to him said something arrogant and the man went out got his gun and shot the guy. if the guy had PTSD then those are people that you dont piss off. you dont kno what they have been through? i dont kno the validity of this story thats just what i heard.

I went to school with the shooter. He wasn't a bad kid back then. He did join the service after graduation and i heard from quite a few that he came back pretty screwed up. The story about the tv station is the same thing that i have heard. I won't trash the man that was shot because i did not know him and reguardless of how "screwed up" Steve came back what he did was wrong. He took another persons life. If it did have anything to do with PTSD then the military, his family and friends all failed him and an innocent life was lost because of it. I'm just not to sure how much i believe about the PTSD because i heard he was actually looking for his step daughter that night to kill her because he claimed she stole money from him. Guess we will have to wait and see as the story unravels. But my sympathies go out to the victims family.

PTSD - Bullshit! He was in the Army in the late 80's - early 1990 and stationed in Korea. You people make it sound like he was in combat lately and this is somehow an excuse for being a drunken fool that shot a man in the back when could have got into his truck and drove away if he didn't like what was on the TV.

C'mon tough guy -- find out the "laws" about assault, fireworks, and destruction of public property. Do your job, tough guy... Put some research into "real" issues...

5 this stuff was gone over already. You were told that the "assult" was filed how many weeks later and unless there were witnesses and proof it happened it came down to your word her word. Fireworks comes down to who else was fined that night? Was it enforced across the bench or is they the only ones you are concerned with. Property at end of that avenue has always been bad, yes it was made somewhat worse with the addition of the storm drain but there is a plan to fix it, it just isn't happening on your (or any one elses) timetable. Can we please keep this thread on this topic. A man was shot in cold blood, the shooter and victim were local and civilians put their own lives in jeaopardy to get the gun away from the shooter.
