Do you think that the owner of the diamond min in Africa really works harder than the poor schmo who does all the digging? If you do nothing, that is one thing, but as long as you are working there should be MORE (not necessarily perfect) equality. no body should own a diamond mine to begin with, but it is the old European vicious cycle from the earlier times. the equality may be achieve through education not through greed, of course when someone is force to work as slave labor it leaves the person free of the moral burden it brings with it. otherwise there should be no excuse for participating in such a rape of the earth. again what is missing here is the value system for all those involved in this sad trade, diamonds as beautiful as they are, aren't any longer a womans best friend since so many people are being abused and killed over it, it has loss it's luster they shouldn't even be use to represent a lasting love in a marriage union. maybe this is why there are so many divorces all over, maybe is a curse...the curse of the diamond. in Africa the problems arise from their focus on war and their unfriendly defensive nature. they don't want to be exploited by foreigners but now they do themselves...or did they always do it?..... I saw it in a movie a while back.

Thanks for helping support the community, Sub Rosa! We love nothing more than having criminals on our streets. Seriously, how high are the morons at Sub Rosa? What are they thinking? Sub Rosa is nothing more than a rat's den of perpetual failures. A bunch of washout UCSC losers that can't make it in the real world so they try to spoil it for everyone else with pseudo-revolutionary politics. Sub Rosa? How about Sub Rational? Or Sub Average IQ?

David Larson wrote: So let me get this straight: Subrosa doesn't want the police in their town yet they call them when their stuff is stolen. The police should not respond to calls for service from Subrosa. Let them find their own stuff. The original Cops and Courts says, "Officers got a report around 5 a.m. of a person breaking windows at 703 Pacific Ave. Ladonia Miller was seen walking away from the area of the café, police said." Unless they were open at 5am on Saturday (which seems unlikely), it wasn't Subrosa who called 911.

Ladonia Miller has been arrested 50 times. Thank you SubRosa for allowing this low life scum bag loser to continue violating the rights of others. What a swell job you are doing by ingratiating yourselves in the Santa Cruz community and by allowing this sociopathic criminal do pursue further crimes. SubRosa, have you no shame?

The sad thing about this, is that this guy is more likely to prey on a low income person than a wealthy person with a burgler alarm and insurance. Very thoughtful of you SubRosa. If I was considering withholding judgment of you before, you have now convinced me you are a plague upon this community. I could be his next victim. He could take my last dollar. Thanks for that.

The police should not protect subrosa. If someone breaks in - who cares? Best not to waste tax dollars protecting people who dont want to be protected

Nice goin', SubRosa; let him go so he can victimize somebody else. As far as I'm concerned, SubRosas' actions are even WORSE than Miller's, because he will now be even more emboldened in his future crimes. Shut that place down, period; my tolerance of them and their arrogance has just reached it's end.

They don't want police, except to get their property back. Which is it, SUBROSA? If you don't want the police in your community, then go get your property back yourself. And, prepare to get robbed a lot more often, now that everyone knows you won't do anything about it.
