AT&T's U-verse stages duel with Bright House cable

hopefully this is a start to the end of cable monopolies

Comcast in Debary needs some competition the customer service is not acceptable

Seems like in the end both of the services have pros and cons. They seem to cost about the same. In the end I would want the one with the most reliable service. I currently have comcast and their service in my area is bleak at best. I get service interruptions several times a day. I have had tech services out here at least 10 times in the past year and none of them can ever explain it. Please get into my neighborhood in south florida AT&T.

This is way beyond old with Bright House. Every other month they are removing channels from the lineup. There new software is the biggest disgrace on the planet with freezing, lockups, 10 second delays, etc...

We don't get Fox Sports Florida in Orlando (EVEN THOUGH IT'S ON STANDARD TIER IN TAMPA).

No NFL Network. MLB Network.

If you watch sports then Bright house is not for anyone. Not sport friendly at all. Unbelievable that we can not watch local baseball, basketball and other sports when we live here. We get blacked out. Even if you buy the sport packages from indemand blackout still happen.

Made the call and switching to ATT Uverse. Thank you ATT for finally bringing competition to central florida. THANK YOU!!!!!

I am sick of the Brighthouse service here. The HD channels blip all the time. The "upgrade" they forced on us messed up the DVR settings, so we came back to a bunch of season premiers with the endings cut out. Their answer?'Uh....sorry - download it from the Internet'....We need UVerse ASAP!

Brighthouse HD DVR are suck reboot avery 30 min when im using the HDMI cable... Now i got Uverse and i love it... so far i dont have any problem work fine plus the HD pictures is good 100% HD... so Brighthouse See ya!!!!

I will be switching for the NFL Network and for Fox Sports Florida. I'm guessing AT&T has the entire Fox Sports Network that Bright House so desparately needs.

AT&T informed me yesterday that i'm in an Embarq area. AT&T would have to buy out Embarq before they could offer U-Verse and that wasn't happening anytime soon. I thought there was suppose to be an "OPEN MARKET", so there would be competition. I don't get it! I've had "notsobright" for way too long and they suck. I have many friends who have U-Verse and love it. If Verizon Fios ever comes to Orlando/Winter Park, I hear they are even better. BTW, how is it BH says they are getting all these awards when I see so many people say they can't stand them.

had Brighthouse for tv and att(bellsouth) for phone and internet. Dropped Brighthouse entirely and switched to UVerse for phone, tv, and internet.
Once we got the first bill we realized what a mistake we made. ATT told us the monthly charge would be $202. First bill, including installation and pre-paid next month was $479. Even after repeated calls to ATT customer service we could not figure out how it could be so high. Their customer service was terrible. To add insult to injury they sent what we owed for the last month of just internet service($130) to collections. 4 months later we dropped UVerse TV and went back to cable. And now, 7 months after switching to UVerse we are switching to Brighthouse for phone, internet, and tv. As bad as Brighthouse sucks, ATT sucks way more. We were fairly satisfied with the ATT(bellsouth) internet service we had prior to UVerse but after the UVerse experience we just won't do business with ATT anymore.
The story is the same for a neighbor.
Take my advice, suffer with Brighthouse because the ATT alternative is far worse.
Knowing what I know now, I would have never changed.
