Judged: 2 2 1 Also, the night this occurred, It was a 15+ minute wait to get through to a customer service rep. Stop lying to the public, Comcast! 10% and few complaints, is putting it far too lightly. Also, does anyone think that the new menu looks like something on an old vidoe game system? It looks terrible, takes up the entire screen, AND THEY SCROLL ADS ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. That's right, you pay Comcast, and then they show you ads. Great move! Can anyone post the number for Dish Network or DirectTv? |

If you go to comcast.com they have a gaurantee. Just hit that and complain to them. Tell them you never received any word about an upgrade. I received a flyer in the mail and a phone call about the new guide. But what the flyer or the phone call didn't state is your shows would be erased. I happened to have a service call and they told me about the DVR being erased. I think this new guide was the one that Suscom had. If you want anything from Comcast you need to bug them. Believe me they will lose no money.

Judged: 2 2 1 I only have internet service, and when Comcast dropped McAfee and went with Norton, I new nothing about it! Comcast, the DUMB ASSES, could have put a notice in with the monthly bill, BUT THEY DIDN'T BOTHER! Comcast, DUMB ASSES! As far as an e-mail, well, I have it set up so all Comcast e-mails go directly to the junk mail file....never gets looked at and is deleted. Comcast sends out a LOT OF USELESS and self-agrandizing junk. |

Anyone else running into the problem where the DVR is recording programs that are repeats even though I have it set only to record new programs?

Judged: 1 1 1 As far as I'm concerned this is a big step backward. Here's a list of problems I have found. 1. When I fast forward through commercials, and I overshoot, it doesn't automatically go back a few seconds like the old guide did. 2. The ads at the bottom of the guide. 3. My stereo system no longer works with the DVR 4. Records repeats even though I tell it only new episodes. 5. Box will not go into standby when I turn it off and something is recording, just pops up a huge message. 6. Large box appears on the show I'm watching when the other tuner finshes recording something. 7. You can't set the widescreen aspect ratio to automatically adjust unless you know the "secret". 8. I lost all my shows and Season Passes I could go on, but what good would it do. My parent's were so disgusted with this latest upgrade they switched to Dish Network, I would too, but I have an additional Tivo DVR that's not compatible with satellite. For the record, I called Comcast, and the girl I talked to said they had lots of calls about the upgrade, so I don't believe that line about no one complaining. And everyone thought Suscom was bad, if we only knew then........ |

Judged: 2 1 1 Oh I got the mail about the upgrade and I kept it, nowhere does it say I was going to lose my shows and season passes. The only thing it said was what a great upgrade this was going to be. Of course we could switch to someone else, but the point is, we pay a lot of money to Comcast every month, and then they just decide what they think we want, and not give us an option. Why mess with something that's not broke??? |

All the problems you listed are the exact same ones I'm experiencing. I did receive notice by mail that all season passes and saved recordings would be lost during the upgrade, but my problem is with the actual "upgrade". The new software sucks. I want to switch providers at this point, but Comcast is my only option for high speed internet and they charge an arm and leg for Internet if that's all you buy from them. I'm definitely fed up with them...just waiting for FIOS. |

Stop lying...it plainly said you WILL LOSE RECORDINGS with that particular box, I'm looking at mine now. People are so damn stupid they can't even verify a simple name and number on the front of the box and compare it to the letter, then have the balls to bitch. |

Hmm, I'd bet you couldn't go buy those on DVD for 10 bucks. Don't ya know DVRs are not storage libraries for unlimited recordings ? Don't blame the cable company for PPV prices...go right to the source - UFC, WWE, whatever. |

we have had numerouse problems we had 2 dead boxes and on top of that constant issues with phone service , during the upgrade I called and complained cause it reset all my settings my tv is 720p over non hdmi connection thier techs refused to give me an hdmi wire for the box when the new/old one was put it we lost all my fiances shows which she likes to watch during the day since she goes to bed early , this is rediculouse then thier Guide for online is for york and hanover and is a bit confusing listing 2 16s personaly I would rather have wjz why cant I comcast says I must have "local" which is nothing more then public tv not worth watching such as the junk athiest show on at 4 am come on sure its good for comedic value but disheartening , I dont want to see how many criminals are in york which that channel repeats daily about 40 times. Comcast stop being lazy Especialy for your Apartment Customers who have no other options
