i see your points but id you take cell phones away them you must make it illegal to eat, talk, look both ways, use a car radio, etc. think of it this way, all those activities require you to look away from the road right? well so does texting so i toss it in there too. however holding a phone to your ear dont take your eyes off the road other than maybe dialing. my thought is all those others (including and especially texting) are far more dangerous than simply talking on a phone. i would even go as as to say that talking on a phone is safer than talking to a passenger simply becase you tend to look at who your talking to. now before you get all bound up im not saying all this stuff should be illegal, im just comparing them
As I stated above, I think those things should be illegal as well. Anything that can distract a driver is putting their safety & the safety of others at risk. When I drive, the last thing I worry about it what the person beside me or on the radio has to say. If you have to eat, stop at a resturant, the park, or in a parking lot to do it, do it at home before or after you go where you need to.

Talking on the phone might not cause u to take ur eyes off the road, but what about your hand? You can't grip the phone with one hand and still have two on the wheel. What happens if you are holding the phone to ur shoulder with ur head and you drop it? the point is, there is ALWAYS that "what if" that has to be thought out. Not everyone has the attention span or ability to multitask while driving, teenagers who are just beginning to drive don't have the experience that an older person does to handle a vehicle while distracted.

All of you that are against this, think about how many times you have cussed someone for not paying attention while they are talking on the cell and driving. Think about the times you have almost seen a wreck because a person is on the phone. I don't know about you, but I know just about everytime I get in my car I come across someone talking and not paying attention to the road.

here in lyes the problem. no matter what you do there will always be distractions to drivers. simply put you cannot make them all illegal. this is where defencive driving comes in. stay alert and pay attention to other drivers

Yeah, just keep giving more power to the government in the name of "protecting" us. Keep making criminals out of more normal people.

Someone ever hits me while talking on a phone and they will need surgery to find it.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Taurus

Some people are full of talk today and the trouble is that they don't know when to shut up. Who needs all the trivial details? Retro Venus is favoured in Gemini, so financial matters may resurface, and you may be inclined to change your point of view. Think long term, especially if you are tempted to form an important liaison, or partnership.
