Go buy a Toyota FJ and be happy. Seriously. Do not buy a JEEP. Again I'm in a Wrangler X Unlimited, 2008, 22000 miles. No way would I do it again... Same with us, we have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler, it shakes awful between 82 and 84 klms per hr. Going to kill someone!!! Also uses more oil then it should. We r going to get rid of it!!!!Terrible , looks cute, but a piece of junk!

Death Rattle wrote: <quoted text> Unfortunatlly this is a common problem for Jeeps. The front end resanates at 55 mph or when you hit a bump that excites the resonat frequency. There is a stearing stabilizer that helps dampin the resoance, that usally goes out after 3 years. You can tell when it goes out because the front end shakes vilently at 55 mph. I was trying to see if anybody else had experienced this violent shaking. I have had the stabilizer bar replaced twice this year and new tires. The front end randomly shakes when hitting a rough patch on the interstate. The problem has made me slow down to a speeds I can recover after the shaking. Anthing above 55 mph is really stressful.

My 07 which I love to death, and treat like my second child, just blew. I have changed oil, all differentials and transfer case regularly. I bought it when it first came out, and have had it in the shop for every recall. NOW WHAT? I think I am past my warranty bc I have 75,000 mi on it. Has anyone had similar problems? I am so upset. I love my jeeps, but they keep failing me. I was planning on saving this one for my son.

07 has a bad rear main seal leak. this thing only has 36750 mi. its had all the other problems I've been reading about except for the death wobbles. however on the freeway if you hit any bumps you do get the bad scissor efect, but that's just a product of this type of coil over suspension. I've also had the altenater not charge, shut it off, tune it back on, and all be good again. happened in a bad snow storm in the dark, good thing its a stick and I was rolling down hill. my question is does anyone know if the v8 conversions are having the same issues. my wife loves this thing and theres on way she will let me get rid of it.
