Kanaan was way too wild on that start. He should of been man enough to take the blame for a wreck that he caused. Even Michael Andretti said it was Tony that caused that wreck.

Please...by all means, let's start to bash a driver in this league that's "attention grabbing." God knows we don't want any stinking attention in open wheel racing.

Looked like a silly Kanaan mistake to me. Why race that hard right out of the box? It's a long race, TK!

Well, we can't have a race without a "Danica" issue...
I wish she would win so we wouldn't have to talk about her EVERY race. But since I don't thinks she will win anytime soon...let's discuss this weeks issue.
Danica's Daddy should explain to her what the lil right side peddle in her racecar does. You push that peddle to "accelerate" or GO FASTER! On starts and re-starts, as you come to the GREEN (means GO!) flag, push that right side peddle and GO FAST. Now, if you push it hard enough, other RACERS will not run over or into you. They in turn will not get ran over by other racers and so on...and you might not cause ANOTHER accident that won't be your fault.

Danica even admitted on TV she messed up turn 4 and caused that mess. Don't blame Tony for taking the corner good. Danica was too slow and got loose in the corner.

I guess we all predicted it though.

Danica - stay in the midpack, it's where you belong.

Media- you just had to upstage Dixon by writing a piece on Danica. great job.

Having been at the track all weekend, in the carousel, I was disappointed by the on track racing with the Indycars since there was no passing on the track. I guess it wasn't a bad race if you watched on TV. I am a big open wheel fan, but the Indycar show was boring. The Indy Pro series was just slightly better. I did not stay for the Speed World GT race, but the Speed World Touring Car race was fantastic as were all the races on Saturday.
Huge crowd at Mid Ohio but I would rather see the ALMS race as a stand alone weekend. Speaking of the crowd it was huge but how many free tickets were given away between Penske and Honda? The infrastructure at the track did not really support the crowd.
If I go back next year and the format is the same I will be there Friday and Saturday and possibly for a support race on Sunday but if it is a choice between the 5.5 hr ride to get home or watching the follow the leader on the track parade laps I will be heading home.

Danica lifted rather than accelerate. It's easy to see in the replay.

Same thing every race - Danica runs fast in quals but doesn't have a clue how to race.

I almost feel sorry for Michael, almost.

Whinica, green means go. Then, while spending too much time looking out of your mirrors to see what's happening behind you, you again can't decide who to block, so you do the left, right, left Whinica swerve. Now you look to see where you are going and realize that it's time to turn and you have too much speed to make the turn. You bobble and TK taps you. Not knowing who to blame you say "I have to look at the replay to see what happened." Try this, on the bottom of your mirrors put this, "Objects wreaking around me were caused by me."

On a positive note, you have given AGR a new place to sell advertising. On the bottom of Marco's car. Here are some suggestions. "This caution was brought to you by Whinica and GoDaddy.com . If you can read this thank a woman." Or how about "Whinica's Not My Fault Insurance." Or "This is why people should not talk on their Motorola cell phone and drive at the same time."

It's a long race but very difficult to pass at Mid-Ohio. Kind of like the F-1 at Indy.

The race sucked. Did anyone pass for position in the top 5 all day? The only change among the leaders was the opening lap crash or during pit stops. That sucks. I am glad the drivers are having fun though (tongue in check)...

Excellent summary by someone who sounds like an impartial race fan.
It once again seems to be the IRL and their low tech dumbed down glued to the track non passing yawners which seem to bring down any race weekend. The freebies from Honda and Penske speak VOLUMES about the direction the IRL is continued down as there is simply NO other way to bring fans to these events. The ones that are given free ducats and witness the abomination on the track, never go back.

Kudos to Dixon for a dominating win. It would be nice to see his talents move back up to ChampCar where he could be challenged.

With the free tickets handed out by Honda to their employees Mid Ohio was able to draw 60,000 for the weekend, on the other hand, Champ Car was able to draw 45,000 on Friday and 60 plus thousand on Saturday and Sunday. The public speaks with their pocket books. Regardless of what side you are on, only one series has paying customers.

Yes, in Edmonton, where there is NOTHING else to do and virtually no competition for the entertainment dollar (since it's off season for hockey). It's not a fair comparison at all. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

If he were not being challenged in IRL he would be dominating the points. Last I checked a guy named Franchitti was winning. Thanks for the brilliant, if not vomit-inducing comment though.

It is certainly not her first bad re-start or start to a race.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
