Sentenced to Winnipeg

Like myself there are many people on this forum that hate Winnipeg. I am tired of people who say "If you don't like it,leave" In reality it is not that simple as it is possible to get stuck in a city.

My wife dragged me here 6 months ago so she can help her mother run her beauty salons. Now she has really got into it and her mother is pressuring her to stay. The only way for me to leave this hellhole is to get a divorce and leave. What do you do?

Pretty much every city in Canada is a dump, so I say get over it! The vast majority of cities in THE WORLD are dumps! Sure Vancouver's "pretty" and "less-cold-more-often ", but who can afford to live there!?
You should be having this conversation with your wife, not making a fool of her on this forum.

Not to the extent that Winnipeg is.I am not embarrassing my wife because no one knows who is actually writing this. Do you think Bryan is my real name?

I agree that Winnipeg is a "dump" to a greater extent than other cities, but we're just splitting hairs here. Cities are cities. It's "nicer" right now than Baghdad, but probably not the Baghdad of say, 1950. I understand that it was quite pleasant then...
I assumed that you were using an alias, Bryan. I was saying you were 'making a fool of her' by going behind her back to complain via the internet about your current "situation". Pretty disrespectful to her, was my point.

Yes, Tom, you make a good point about Bryan. He sounds like not a nice person at all. He should get a divorce and let his wife get on with her life without being held back by him. She deserves something better than a loser that disses her behind her back like that.

talk to her nicely and she will understand your problem. I guess be extra nice to her and tell her to beleive in herelf that she can do better wherever she will go with this salon experience

People who like Winterpeg are usually born and raised here and don't even know any other city at all. I have never seen so many people who are so mean, unfriendly, and without any class or character. Another trait I see is that people are very adept liars.

if winnipeg citizens would pay for everyone to leave this city (divorce or not), there would be 27 people
left, how would the city survive?
