the powers that be have no foresight, so a rapid

1. How many people in Winnipeg that are FOR rapid transit would actually use it?

I'm guessing very few would.

2. Would rapid transit really benefit anyone other than maybe 30 people in Transcona who go to the University of Manitoba? I doubt it.

Build more heated bus shacks and forget about rapid T. Improve bus accommodation for parents with baby strollers and wheel chairs. Develop an interactive bus stop to locate and provide estimate arrival times.

Jake, you're right in saying that very few would ride a Bus Rapid Transit system.

However, people prefer rail transit vehicles whenever they are made available in a metropolitan area.

I have seen reports that even in the car capital of the world, Los Angeles California, citizens are ditching their cars for the Red Line subway because of higher gas prices.
