Dark Zone

I plan on re-opening Dark Zone in Winnipeg if people are interested. Dark Zone was a lazer tag facility in the Osbourne area of Winnipeg. It suddenly closed and now there is no other facility in Winnipeg. Please sign this survey so I can get some feed back to put in my business plan.

If would like to help. I've been seriously thinking about opening laser tag in Winnipeg, since it's now quite barren in terms of this sort of activity. I don't think resurrecting Darkzone per se is the best idea, but perhaps another Laser Tag venture. There are some good franchises, and I think if it were managed properly and advertised adequately it would be quite lucrative.

Wow, 8-Ball! Brings back memories! While I don't live in Winnipeg anymore (although I'm there at this moment), I'd go to a laser tag venture when I'm back on holidays (like right now)! FYI, I live in Colombia now and they have something called Laser Shots which uses the same Zone system...the old school ones that 8-Ball loved!!!

Why don't you guys just go to Laser Jungle in Stonewall , which is 15 mins. north of Winnipeg.
They have a large 2 level arena, with cool stuff in it. We had a blast. They just got new equipment. We get the gang together once a year for the last 5 years, we had 20 people and the time of our life!

Yeah i remember back in the day always going to play lasertag with my Dad all the time back in the day. We must of spent like 100 or more dollars a month going to darkzone.. My old alias was mr.mojorisin. if darkzone opened up id go their at least more then once a month

Wowzers, I too spent many hours at the zone, workin and playin.

Winnipeg really needs a laser tag facility to help cope with those long winters. When I go back to visit, I'd love to be able to hide from father winter with a bit of zone.

YES YES YES PLEASE RE OPEN DARK ZONE!!! A whole whack of friends and myself are constantly wishing that there was a laser tag building in Winnipeg! There's seriously NOTHING TO DO here... We'd probably go to DarkZone every week, if we could afford it! The closest Laser Tag to us is in Stonewall... Too inconvenient.

Oh please, please re-open Darkzone!!! We NEED entertainment! We're DESPERATE for lazertag!

My friends and I would never do paintball because it hurts. There are a lot of people who would agree with me on this. Laser Tag has a good chance out there, with proper advertising!:D

Gotta open it back up, or at least something like it. Used to spend piles of time and money there....

In an effort to defend the LaserTag, paintball/airsoft and lasertag are very,very different activities. It's not easy to just head to the local Paintball facility and get a game, while lazertag is. It's easy, and reasonably priced entertainment that can be safely enjoyed by a large group of people on a whim. I can't make that same argument for paintball, it's not quick and easy and cheap. I can't just head down the 'local' paintball field and jump in on a game.

Many factors that have previously turned people off to this activity, such as regular players laying the preverbial beat downs on new players, could also be addressed in many ways, such as equipment modifications, game modifications as well as proper live game construction.

The game could also be way more awesome with the right equipement. Just think. Laser landmines, Sniper Style Phasers, Shotgun style Phasers. It could literally adopt more elemtents that people have come to love from 1st person shooters.

I think it's a great idea!! I just called the Lazer Jungle in stonewall and it seems to be more directed to kids. Plus you have bring in a group to play you can't just play a game on a whim.
