Maybe people didn't feel there was a reason the vote. They were happy with the status quo!

Yes I did vote, have never missed any vote (federal.provincial, municipal) since I came of legal age in 1974.People are generally complacent in this country and feel if they do not vote nothing lost, nothing gained. My father came from a country that lost it's freedom after ww2,and he made sure that I and my siblings understood what it meant to have the freedom to choose, and none of us have forgotten that to this day.We have also passed this on to the next generation in hopes that they understand the importence of casting their votes.I agree you can not force people into the voting booth, but I do wish that my fellow Canadians would talk my pride in the values we have in this great land.

Put an 'X' through all all the names, it is what I did, when voting in BC the last time.

I always vote, but I think I understand why our voter turnout is low. It's because people feel it won't make any difference.

Once Parliament resolves a controversial issue such as capital punishment or abortion, you never hear about it again, at least not in the mainstream media. Even though there may be many people who disagree with the status quo, the matter is settled as far as our lord almighty Parliament is concerned.

In the US, you keep hearing about controversial issues. The debate doesn't stop. And in this presidential election, people believe that it will make a very big difference which one is elected, so voter turnout is high.

Our voter turnout was high when compared to other elction years, but shamefully low when compared to other democracies in the world. I voted for Barak Obama, and I am optimistic about our next few years. See my newsletter at www.OakhuratRealEstate.info/news.html .

The bovine don't vote and more and more are turned into zombies by our Fascist Lying government. Canadians are no longer aware enough to understand what is happening to them, although the model is clear to the South

You can see here why the voter turn out is so low . There are plenty of dummies out there who don't understand the vital nature of voting..

If the model is clear to the south or wherever, than why are you still here.To put it in your own terms(anyone with half a brain)would live somewhere that would be comfortable to them, and not in a negative atmosphere. Not only are you not very bright(must be the pot),but your a hypocrite to boot! Can't wait for your calm, cool, and collected response(LOL)

it's not an embarrassment, rather it is a clear indication that our present system isn't working well enough to have the support of a large percentage of Canadians.

You can either read the tea leaves and weep, or, get the message and do something about it.
