Did the Watchtower invest with Bernie Madoff? Maybe that is one of the reasons they are hurting financially.

So what about all those people who put faith in Jesus Christ over the last 1900 years before there was ever a Jehovah Witness organization? Was their faith in vain? Did they not have God's protection?
Jehovah's Witnesses are the most judgmental group of religious people I have ever encountered! It's no wonder, just look at those 12 mini-popes they call a Governing Body.
The November 15th study magazine tells their followers that they must be 'crazy' if they think they can do without the Governing Body's organization and that you better not ever challenge it.
Well, I added the word 'crazy' but the rest is true.
"12 mini popes." LOL! Thanks for the laugh.(But it's so true too!)

When you said "crazy" you got that right. LOL

I never said if you do not go to the Kingdom Hall you are not a Christian, I said just because you do a kindness to another person, that does not make you a Christian, it makes you a generous person. Being a true Christian is believing and living the life Jesus said his followers would live doing his Father Almighty God Jehovah's will. There are no other religions teaching that, they believe Jesus is the Father, and Son and the Holy spirit at the same time, one person, co-eternal, co-equal. The Trinity teaching, burning hellfire, immortal soul, Rapture, were never taught by the Apostles, or Jesus. People take Scriptures that mean something else entirely different and teach one of their man made doctrines using that Scripture. That is Blasphemy against the holy spirit, the unforgiveable sin, not suicide.

Hey Martha,I seen on the history channel the other day that the wt trace their origins back to the nineteenth century adventist movement in america. That was started by william miller a baptist preacher who in 1816 began proclaiming that christ would return in 1843. When it didnt happen he changed his date to 1844. Then when that didnt happen the adventist group fell apart. Then their were alot of different branches of the cult. The Waco branch davidians were one of them which was the modern day david koresh. Another was the Zion's Watch tower. Started by a confused 16 year old punk kid and future pedofile charlie the taz man russel.I wonder if the common every day jw knows that the two different named cults got their start from the same goof ball cult.Maybe the wt doesnt print that in their pamplets so the followers can be well informed before they join. UUUMMMM Thats Strange. Dont ya think? UUMMMM

And yet.....since leaving the WTS (I was still a member in good standing at the time)....I have met countless Christians that clearly DO as Christ commanded and follow the "two laws" in their lives. They do not attend Kingdom Halls, nor do they follow the self-appointed GB's latest rules, which then (according to the WTS) would then make them exempt from God's blessings and approval.

If you erased all the Pharaisaic WTS regulations and edicts coming down from the tower in Brooklyn....and only applied BIBLE instructions as written....then all this elitist judgmentalism of all others....would be quite curtailed.

Martha,

It should be enough for you when a person says that he or she is a Christian, to just take their word for it and not question it. If you don't care for their explanation simply take your leave. Jesus is judge of them.

If someone is confused over the identity of God and Jesus, just leave it to God and Jesus. I believe they are the one in the best position to help them understand.

It seems all Christian religions understand much of the Bible correctly, but also push other teachings as well. Witnesses may understand certain portions of the Bible better than another group but they ARE guilty of 'going beyond what's written' and fixing dates and times for the end to come. Their view of 1914 is not Biblical at all. They have simply made the CHOICE of believing that it has something to do with the last days using flawed human chronology. In this, they serve their own interests; not God's and that makes it doubly wrong.

Exactly.

Strip away the Governors of the Governing Body and their rhetoric and propaganda, and what you have left is basically a mainstream Christian religious organization.

The Governors at the top of that religion are doing the most harm. Their publish their opinions for the masses to feast on each week and they have gotten drunk on it.

Would you explain your motive, because you seem to know nothing so far?
Scared that people will capitalise where you may miss out? CIA, of course, for the side that doesn't want to come out f the dark to get those things sorted out?

Persons have a choice and it shouldn't be altered by some disgruntled demon influenced innuendo. Are you feeding it?

He did.

This is why he left the lying Watchtower.

People who read the bible without the aid of WTS literature to influence them, most often find their way OUT of the WTS cult and TO the real Savior, Jesus.

That's what I did and I threw that Watchtower away.

The Watchtower was the source of all my spiritual troubles because it diverted me away from what God's Word really says and directed me to the Watchtower Society and it's half-truths.

Thank you martha for you comments... I'm also a Jehovah's witness from south africa.the reason why martha said you're leaving Jehovah is because, Jehovah is feeding us through his son, now when you're leaving a spoon of food from him through his son,and also through the imperfect humans of the governing body, that is the same As leaving Jehovah... the problem is that our every comment is open for intepretation, and well, intepretations do and will differ. take your time and think about the witnesses and all good things they have done... remember during the attacks on the twin towers? remember the earthquakes i think in japan? those are to mention but a few... it is just sad dat from an a white paper with one black spot, people decide to look at the spot rather than the whiteness of the paper... cheers

The only thing anyone knows about what Jesus and his Apostles taught comes to you courtesy of the RCC not the WTS.

That's your opinion although it is in reality a carefully concocted lie that has ensnared millions of people.

The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses have positioned themselves in between your faith in God and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

They have managed to make THEMSELVES necessary for your salvation. Check out the November 2009 Watchtower. It basically says that you would be a fool to think that you could get along without them.

Jehovah God has nothing to do with liars and he certainly has nothing to do with the men who run the Watchtower Society. It is not his organization and it never was!

Its like this God has only one mediater between God and men , Jesus christ, and when people put the phrase God is feeding us through his son and...
its the and... many have a problem with.
When this bloke talks about the good things witnesses have done. Well jesus said ' when you have done what i have commanded you to do say ' i am just a good for nothing slave, what i have done is what i am supposed to do' Think about those words and what they mean.

Jehovah's witnesses believe we are living in the last days of this world being ruled by Satan, we expect and endure the ridicule people heap on Jehovah's organization. It is sad to hear this ridicule coming from people who are in good standing, that means witnesses consider these as dedicated witnesses. Being a hypocrite witness is the worst a person could be, whether you are in the organization for your families approval, or for friends that are obligated to love you, Jesus knows it.

Just like Jesus knows that you are here among DAed, DFed, and apostates. Jesus also knows of the gossip, the lies, and the mean ways those who call themselves witnesses act here. You would really be surprized Martha if you ask who was not completely believing everything that comes from the GB. There are many still going to the KH faithfully that really knows there are many things wrong inside the WTBTS. And then there are those of just cant attend and listen anymore but will worship Jehovah and Jesus without the organization. After all, we are told that what we need is belief and love of Jehovah and Jesus to be saved.

9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

11 As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.*"7

NO where do I see you must belong to an organization, or do I see that one much be called a Jehovahs Witnesses to be saved. It clearly says, "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved".

My youngest daughter was born in 1969...the same year I accepted a study with JWs. I was told by the WTS that she would never grow old in this system of things....and that we only had A FEW MONTHS before Armageddon would hit.

###"If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years."
AWAKE! May 22, 1969 pg 15

What I did not learn until many years later was that the WTS had printed and taught that there were several MORE predictions of "the end" coming, that never materialized, but the WTS STILL boasts about being the only true religion on the earth today!

They also teach that ONLY THEY HAVE ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE in their publications, that Jehovah is the author of the Watchtower....which as you know, these teachings have been methodically trashed because they were just plain WRONG.

Would "Jehovah" authorize or condone phony predictions as TRUTH?

###“Respond to the directions of the organization as you would the voice of God.“( Watchtower 6/15/1957, p. 370)

###"The Watchtower is a magazine without equal on earth because God is the author." (WT 4/15/43)

THIS is one of the reasons that the WTS and it's followers are being ridiculed. It has no connection at all with JWs being followers of Jesus, as HE warned us NOT TO FOLLOW THOSE that teach false predictions about him as the WTS HAS BEEN DOING FOR 130 YEARS!

It cannot be any more clear than that.

Christians believe we are living in the last days as well and that Satan controls the world at this time .Christians also acknowledge that Satan cannot control us , even though the world has been damaged by sin God is still alive and well and we can be overcomers in Satans world .We don't need any organization to belong to that gives us a false sense of security we only need Christ .No organization , or , church affiliation is going to save us or get us through until Christ comes ,Our belief in God's Son and putting our faith and TRUST in Him alone is what is going to save us . As Christians we have been told to expect pursecution and hate from the world it goes along with the program Jesus said it would .JW bring on much of the so called pursecution by peddling lies about other religions to make their religion look good when people point this out JW hollar pursecution .Fact is by peddling lies and distortions about other religions they are asking for what ever it is they get.Not exactly the pursecution Jesus spoke about is it?
