Jehovah's Witnesses reaffirm faith in what? Jesus Christ? Jehovah God? Or their Governing Body of imperfect, not inspired of God, human men?

I think the latter.

The article brings out: "Convention time featured a number of speakers reaffirming the need for Jehovah's Witnesses to keep inviting people to study the Bible."........which we ALL know is merely affirming an invitation that gets people to agree to the WTS home indoctrination program with the aim of getting more servants/literature deliverers FOR the WTS!

Hi Nedoba,

The aim is to help people know what God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus will do for mankind. Are you opposed to God's Kingdom?

The figures from the annual meeting, show a 4% increase of active Witnesses for Jesus and his Kingdom for the last service year. That's almost double what we gained the year before. 70% of Jehovah's Witnesses were at one time members of other religions. So as Christendom is on the decline, we are on the increase. Jehovah's blessing is very evident.

Well folks, The latest stats are finaly in. The wt org is losing approx 7,000 followers per month due to the internet. Yes people, The younger crowd is surfing the net doing researsh on the wt's shady past with the false doctrine, false predictions, the rule changes over the years, the evil shunning of friends and relatives that leave the org.I predict in 5 to 10 years the kh's will be nearly emty except for a few old jw's looking at one another wondering what the heck their still doing there. GOOD LUCK.

Have I ever given the impression that I am opposed to the Kingdom that Christ preached? Not at all!

JWs are trained to preach the WTS message and just HOW TO deliver WTS literature....even at the meetings they claim are their "worship". JWs attend every WTS meeting, assembly, special assembly day and convention because they are EXPECTED TO.

They are also expected to obtain, read and underline every publication the WTS churns out and then are expected to "place these" when the WTS designates which month they will be featured.

Personally, I don't put any stock in the "numbers" the WTS conjures up to prove how effective their ministry is. Many JWs pad their time slips and others get their "time" by posting on forums like this one, or even talking with their own kids. These statistics are not at all accurate as a measure of true "hours", so I wouldn't get too excited about them if I was a JW.

but he knows all the latest jw propaganda stats!!!

jws are declining in membership rapidly........ he is posting lies cause he is a jw damage control artist.

you had your era, jws...... but now with the addition of the internet, the gig is up........ your history of lies and false prophecy, and cover-ups and child molesting elders who silence victims is readily available at the touch of a key board.

I wasn't speaking of hours, but of the many new active publishers of the good news. A 4% increase is very good in view of the ones that chose to go back to the world and are removed from our ranks. The vast majority that are removed are for immorality. They would rather follow their own desires than be Jesus' followers.

I was encompassing the entire hype that comes down the WTS HQs....and despite your faith in the WTS as always being truthful, my experience is that they cannot be relied on.

Loyal defenders seem to omit the fact that so many of their brothers are leaving because they have seen the piled up lies and misinformation taught to them over the years and seen the documented evidence of what has been whole-heartedly accepted as "bible truths" from the pages of WTS publications....only to realize that it was NOT truth after all. So they/we have chosen to leave the teachings of admittedly imperfect men and to read the bible alone and without the aid of WTS opinions.

Not everyone walking away from the WTS and all its' many regulations and requirements....are godless or faithless individuals that are without principles....but the WTS would have you believe this. I pray that every day, more and more will see the true light of Christ shine through and will put their faith only in HIM.

1 Timothy 4:1 (NIV)
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

II Thessalonians 2:1-3a: "Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first..."

II Timothy 4:1-4: "I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not put up with sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, because they have itching ears, they will gather themselves a number of teachers who will turn their ears away from the truth, and towards made up stories."

So according to scripture the church will experience a great falling away no wonder the cults are increasing , it has already been foretold this would happen .

Hi Red,

I have always stated that I am a Witness. I read about the 4% increase either here or at Beliefnet, as it was posted by an opposer, that had received notes from the annual meeting, that a relative had sent him.

The only lies that are currently being told here, are yours.

Greetings.

I presume that by your name that you 'defend' the teachings of the Watchtower Society regardless of what the Bible may teach on certain things. Am I right?

You said: "The aim is to help people know what God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus will do for mankind. Are you opposed to God's Kingdom?"

You are by no means unique in your aim to help people learn of God's kingdom by Jesus Christ. So how could we be opposed to that?

We simply see no place for men, as in the case of your Governing Body, putting THEMSELVES in between us and our God and his Christ.

The Governing Body instructs you to tell people that Jesus is the Way to God, but also that your organization is the way to Jesus. That is a base lie. Jesus said for us to 'come to him' not come to your organization. So, you make this up and claim the Bible says it. That is a very dangerous deed.

As for the Christendom, do you know what the word means? Do you think that Witnesses came up with it? I did at one time and I was convinced it was a bad thing.

I see things differently now. I now know that it simply means the part of the world were Christianity prevails or the kingdom of Christians. Today, this world is full of Christians. Whether they may be in a religious denomination or not, is irrelevant. The important thing is that Jesus knows them. They are HIS sheep. They don't need to be judged by the likes of the Watchtower organization. They are growing more numerous than your organization will ever hope to.

I also have to say the latter. The type of inconsistencies this society displays is a continual cause for members to reaffirm their faith. Forunately, exercising faith in Jesus is unwavering, solid because he doesn't flip-flop.

For your information, all of you who are opposed to Jehovah's witnesses, one way or the other. Jehovah's witnesses don't pay any attention to any criticism made against the Society. From day one, we are told the organization is man made, and has imperfect sinful men taking the lead. After a person studies the Bible, and understands basic standards and principles to live by, they make the decision to get Baptized and serve God forever. No one becomes perfect, just because you are a Jehovah's witness, you have to continue living as a footstep follower of Jesus for the rest of your life. If you decide to leave, no one stops you,
if you are being unchristian you will be counseled, if you are practicing sin, and refuse to stop, you will be removed. Thousands leave the organization every year, they choose to leave Jehovahs protection, and spiritual family.

Martha,

I was right there with you.

Then you just HAD to go and say this: "... they choose to leave Jehovahs protection, and spiritual family."

You see, that's the thing that most former Witnesses have the biggest problem with.

With the left side of you mouth you said the organization is imperfect and man-made in nature, but with that same mouth you said that leaving the organization was leaving Jehovah God himself.

Now, either one is right and the other is wrong or your organization IS you God Jehovah? So which is it?
