You cannot say that Moose Jaw Firefighters are worth less then Firefighters in other similar size communities. Do people complain that teachers and nurses are all paid the same regardless of the size of the city they work for?
The Truth is that nurses, teachers, firefighters, police, ect. that work in smaller centers actually work harder in more demanding and dangerous positions then there counterparts. How quickly Mr. Swanson forgets that he was once a teacher, I do not recall him ever complaining about the portion of the property taxes that funds the school board was "Too rich for the City of Moose Jaw"!

Not everyone has or is able to have a secure income and also spend time in another trade (not qualified), while tradesmen are tired from there occupation because they work at it all day, not resting for the next payroll to come in, As for the firemen in toronto they should be very lucky to know their jobs aren't as demanding or dangerous as those in smaller communities?
