If you believe in preminitions, A possible priminition of the girls, they stopped at a gas pump gas station what ever, And something or someone happened there,
then ,
One woke in the edge of a lake where there was a dock to the side of where she was and trees up on the bank, She lost her cell phone and her mind was all out of it she didn't remember what she was doing in the lake, she was afraid of the woods and freaky stuff in the lake but so out of it ,she could only lay there in the edge of the water ,
just before day break , People who had probably been partying were on the dock so she was hoping that meant she would be saved,
Maybe its just premanition, But it might be worth the effort to check around docks
Maybe she was saying "I can see the water from here"

Can't wait to find out what happened and see if your premonition holds any water. My mind is open, but time will tell.

Since the authorities haven't even found the white Jeep yet, my guess is that the driver lost conrol of the car due to being distracted (star gazing WHILE driving, perhaps?) and they ended up crashing into a pond or lake. The calls for help from one of the girls probably occured while the car was slowly sinking, hence the "water around them" cries for help. Just a theory.

Well looking how big the one lady is we can rule out that they were kidnapped. Also, when you need help, call 911, don't call your friend and give a vague description of where you are at. Most 911 call centers have GPS and can pin point were your call is coming from. Clearly these women are not on academic scholarships.
How thoughtfull of you. What a tool.

I will be watching to see what the results of the investigation are. How deep was the vehicle? I think I heard the white vehicle could be seen which means it wasn't in very deep water. Could the girls swim? If they had time to make a call, why did they not try to get out and possibly stand on the roof or swim to shore? We have all seen this in movies, but I imagine it is harder to get out of a sinking vehicle than we could imagine. Obviously they were very close friends and would not attempt to get out unless all three could get out. I couldn't see this being foul play. My prayers go out to their families and friends.

Just because someone is big doesn't mean they can't be kidnapped. Just for the record, 911 does not have GPS on cell phones. You have to contact the cell phone company to get a range of where the last call was made and even then it doesn't give you an exact location. I hope that the family doesn't have to see ignorant comments like this. You should have a little more respect.

My prayers go out to the families of these young women and their teammates.

Lots of courage fingers on this forum. Yes, you all are very witty, wise, and obviously much smarter than these young women. It takes tremendous courage and character to sit behind your aliases and demean these women or diminish the loss being suffered by their families.

If there isn't too much more to the story, the lesson is that if you're in trouble, call 911 and not your friend.

The pond was 12 feet deep. After watching mythbusters I'd say its hard to get out of a sinking car (windows rolled up). They panicked and drown. To get into the pond, probably either they were driving out of control, (alcohol maybe), or were watching the stars while driving, and accidentally drove in. If you live near water, I'd recommend buying the life hammer, a hammer you keep in your car to smash the window out while you are sinking.

Electric only windows are to blame ,bring back the roll down ones .The doors can be unlocked .,you have to be always aware and prepared.Just kids and now gone. Driving the highways ,the backroads or especially on winter lakes.Be just as careful as you would be when walking in the woods or a dimly lit city sidewalk.Always stack the odds in your favor. This is such a tragic thing .Mud and weeds probably blocked the doors.

What a sad story..Ive never been in a sinking car but it seems so odd that the three of them couldnt open a door. I suppose its hard to do and they panicked but there was 3 of them..not judging..just wondering...

It amazes me that people are upset about comments in this discussion. This is a discussion forum for people to discuss their views. I find it very interesting to see the many opinions. If you are close minded, you are in the wrong place. You need to have discussions with your friends whose views you already know so you will never have to deal with another opinion. This forum best fits people with an open mind who listen as well as speak. You are free to disagree, but don't get upset at others views.

Just because you can say it doesnt mean you have to say it. The only opinion the families care about there kids are gone, now put your self in their shoes if you lost your kid you dont wanna read ignorant crap.Freedom of speech is a nice thing it allows us to trample on others feelings.
