As a Newfoundlander who lives in New Brunswick, I can assure you that every talk radio show you listen to here has callers by the dozens furious with Shawn Graham(NB premier).

There maybe 1 in 30 callers who thinks the sale of NB Power to Quebec Hydro is a good idea. Most call in and say if this deal goes through, the current provincial liberal govt can kiss their jobs goodbye next election.

Nfld Premier Williams spoke his mind before the deal was announced because Quebec Hydro has been a bunch of arseholes in talks about the lower Churchill. Quebec wants a deal like the upper Churchill in the 60s...a deal that screwed Nfld over big time.

The Atlantic provinces should be banded together on this one. The recent conference of Atlantic premiers with US eastern seaboard senators on trade etc..was a way for the Atlantic provinces to start working together for more business etc..NB liberals and their premier just screwed that up with a potential monopoly on hyrdo power being handed over to Quebec.

The only deal so far is a Memorandum of Understanding...the actual deal has not gone through yet. Hope it does not!!

I to am a Newfoundlander who have lived in N.B for over 15 years. I recall many times as a kid hearing how Newfoundland had the only apple seed in the whole world ie (churchill Falls)Quebec took that seed for NOTHING and are gaining the profits of a Orchard! I agree with Danny Williams that N.B. will be making a huge mistake by selling its Hydro resourses to Quebec.Danny had the right idea by all Atlantic provinces keeping each other in mind when it comes to keeping its resources at home even if it means helping one another out. There are so many spin-offs when another province does well with its resources; one province can benefit from another. Why can't N.B,N.L,PEI,N.S benefit from one another instead of giving everything away to the first purchaser with a big check. If Mr Grahm hasn't learned this by now then I can't wait to see him come door to door election time.Especially when Hydro Quebec breaks its promise and you are giving up your grocery money to pay your power bill.Im not big on politics but I can tell you one thing I think Danny Williams can teach Sean Graham a thing or two and maybe would make the best PM that Canada has ever seen (IF he chose to run for PM).

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Libra

Get organized because that's the best way to be productive today. You're eager to be as efficient and practical as possible, but you won't get very far if you don't know what to do first. So draw up a list of priorities and start with the most urgent. Ideally, you should be left to your own devices while you do all this because that will aid your concentration and self-confidence.
