It seems funny that everybody thinks Leon just sticks his hand in the offering basket and takes money out of it. This is truly not the case. Leon receives an average salary from the church. All money he makes on top of that is from tape sales and other speaking engagements NOT YOUR TITHES!!!

are you all blind to whats going on a strong church member at springs for years recently left saying everyone was getting to leonized....

LOL I have been a "strong" member for years and will remain a strong member for years. The church dont pay for his cars or his houses thats crazy. There is alot more reasons why people got fired that that stupid blog said. But everybody is very quick to pass judgement on people who succeed. Did you know that Leon's series in managing and mis managing is the number one christian series in the UK. Like come on people is it really our job to judge wether or not Leon should have a nice car. It isnt we are are responsible for winning the lost. There is no way that Leon takes huge amounts of money out of the offering to pay for personal things.

That web site also talks about alot of financial issues within the church as well. Did you know that the church get's audited almost every year and nothing has ever turned up. Going through an audit is hell they check EVERYTHING. So if any of this was happening dont you think it would have turned up......I thought so!!!

The top 5 salaries at springs are all over $80K per year. Two on the payroll are over $120K per year. it is easy to figure out who those are.
Audits don't matter in the world of charities.

not to mention there is creative ways to spend all that money they buy a 2 million dollar house in calgary and tell everyone they will be seting up the church offices there.... ya right well they furnish it with church money so it creates a good image of the church.... all i can say is why do they need to go to calgary there is plenty of need in manitoba.... its a flashy show at springs they better remember a church divided against itself can't stand case in point VFC in winnipeg gone and forgotten now

Just to shed some light. The church is audited by one of Leon's boardmembers companies. Imagine that!

Why do they say that Sally never leaves Leon's side? Are they both making the 120,000 a year?

I have very little left to say besides if Leon is taking money out of the offering to blow on fancy cars and houses than thats something that he will have to answer for. But you know what there is something so special going on at springs.

I actually attended VFC for years bystander and you know what I can remember only every saying the sinners prayer whenever knew people came and that was very rare. I can only remember one time but their could be more. But during the first two services this morning over 40 people gave their lives to the Lord. Thats what matters to me not fancy cars not expensive houses souls that are going to heaven.

There are no other mega churches in Winnipeg where any staff are at the $120K+ per year salary. The two other mega churches pastors are making $80K+ per year, and that's only the lead pastor. Not the lead pastors' wives as well.

I would like to see the church constitution.

I think that its pretty stupid to assume that sally is the other person on staff making 120,000+ a year

I don't know where the other $119,999+++ goes but I think it was a total misappropriation of church funds to pay church staff hundreds of hours in wages to decorate Springs for a family wedding.

- Springs spent $385,860.00 on "travel and vehicle" this past year alone. Who was travelling??

- Almost half a million on "office Supplies" - thats alot of pens and paper!
