RoyalDutch has to look somewhere else since Vlad the Bad decided Russian oil (Sakhalin Island etc) was for Russians.
COME RIGHT ON IN, WE HAVE A SLAPHAPPY CONSERVATIVE GOV"T FEDERALLY AND PROVINCIALLY. CANADA IS OFFICIALLY UP FOR SALE. ANYTHING ELSE WE CAN DO FOR YOU? LET"S SELL PARLIAMENT HILL TO THE CHINESE WHILE WE ARE AT IT AND EVICT ALL THE DIPSHITS THERE. HELL WE CAN"T MAKE A BUCK AT OUR OWN RESOURCES WITH OIL AT A RECORD HIGH. I've never seen such a corrupt bunch of corporate prostitutes run a country. These people aren't Canadian, they are merely publicly funded salesmen of our country. |

QUESTION: And what about the problems that Shell and BP have encountered in Russia with respect to their licenses for oil and gas production?
(Russian Environmental Agency LOL) Putin: HAVE YOU READ THE SHELL CONTRACT? IT WAS A COLONIAL AGREEMENT THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INTERESTS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION. I CAN ONLY REGRET THAT IN THE EARLY 1990's RUSSIAN OFFICIALS DID SOMETHING LIKE THIS, SOMETHING FOR WHICH THEY SHOULD BE SENT TO JAIL. The implementation of that agreement resulted in the fact that it allowed others to exploit our natural resources for a prolonged period of time without us getting anything in return. http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1... Hell I admire the guy. Guess I'm nothing more than an apologist for a "nasty authoritarian b=std" anymore than well a few in the States are apologists for presidents that craterize countries for lies. |

CALGARY (CP)-- The C$8.7-billion privatization of Shell Canada [TSX:SHC] planned by parent company Royal Dutch Shell PLC [NYSE:RDS-B] could signal a change in bitumen flow out of Alberta, but not a change in business strategy for the oil sands giant, analysts said Monday. Major shifts in company assets and policies are probably unlikely as the Dutch-based energy giant already has had a controlling interest in Shell Canada for years, said analyst Tom Ebbern, with Tristone Capital Inc. said. Ebbern was reacting to Royal Dutch Shell's announcement early Saturday that the European giant had acquired enough shares under its going-private bid to give the parent just under 90% of its Calgary-based Canadian unit... http://www.resourceinvestor.com/pebble.asp... |

'What's that noise?
Well it's the big sucking sound as our natural resources leave this country by the megatonne. And Harper et al, talks about "sovereingty". |

NO PROBLEM, the Canadian gov't can generate revenue by taxation on the sales of our OWN natural resources to well OURSELVES.
Cool aint' it. I'm so happy for this "boom". I just can't WAIT till gas hits $1.50/LITRE which the oil companies are now gleefully projecting. |

Royalties up, the price of oil will go up also.
They will "recoup" their "losses" with the "draconian" half measures fast Eddie implemented. "They" won't lose, bet on it. And our corporate prostitutes in Ottawa will gleefully watch as the taxation grab increases exponentially. Then they'll tell us how they are running a "fiscal surplus" which points to what a splendid job they are doing of running the country. |
