Alleged victim of Nova Scotia church abuse to reject settlement

HALIFAX a ' A former altar boy who claims he was sexually abused by a now-deceased pastor is expected to announce Thursday that he will reject a class-action lawsuit settlement that was negotiated by former bishop Raymond Lahey.

It is not all about money and if Ye Olde Fart is a catholic worrying about the expense the church might face being disrespectful of victims is not a reasonable response.

There are possibly people coming forward who see it as an opportunity to get a few bucks. I doubt that they would number more than you can count on one hand - what male wants to say that they were sexually abused by a man and have that follow them around.Not many.

If you consider all of the men who ARE NOT coming forward because they could not stand the public humiliation or are too emotionally fragile to walk that journey you could easily afford to pay out a couple of scam artists and still be saving millions of dollars.
