Metis group enters controversy over officer's gravesite

I just read in the LLB. Post that the metis group have started running ads., for the leave Leo in LLB. What the heck do people think spending money on such a unnessessary project, look around you and see the need in every community, whether it is for education, health, or perhaps just roofs over peoples heads. Or perhaps, drug abuse, children that are without parents that are capable of being parents. This is not a case of abuse or anything near that . It is a case of mommy's going to go, come hell or high water to the bitter end to win over the sons wife. What a load of crap. And further more we are sick of the whole thing it is embarassing for the community. Please do not include "THE PEOPLE OF LAC LA BICHE" in your articles as you do not speak for the people.... there are so many in the area and the country that are just plain fed up with the poop. If Grace wants to fight this fight do it quitely and with out the hoopla... ALOT OF US DO NOT CARE . WE do not support your scrap, get on with the mourning of your son and your life with the kids you still have... before you find you have lost more than a son, but years of interaction with the sibblings he left behind. Please get a grip. And remember we are not all behind this fight so do not use that statement to justify your actions. The law is on Kelly's side and so am I, and many others. The Law Is What your son died trying to uphold. RESPECT HIM. Cherish your memories and Cherish the time you had with him. You have nothing else... Metis group go do something constructive. There must be something on your adjenda that needs prompt attention...go do that and leave this alone.. Moving a body is nothing but a man made issue.. worry about the here after.. not where a body is placed. I have finished with this as so many others have. Have a Good day!

Grace, sure had my support before, but now she has gone to far, the courts have spoken, listen, GRACE!

Go Metis Nation. Grace needs our support as she is fighting for her family and culture. The wife obviously does not care for anything but her own glory. She will move on and those who will hold him in their heart forever will not even be able to easily visit his grave. Did Cst Johnston not state he wanted to be buried at home. How does his glory hunting wife explain that in her wish to honour him?

Enough already!! I am Metis and surely there is something else we can be fighting for, like health benefits??!!
Grace won't give up and neither will Kelly so how long do we have to listen to this?? And Metis Nation...go back to the office and find another fight to support...one that there is a chance of winning!!!!

I agree with Poppy!! Find something else to support...Leo died upholding the law...people need to remember that and not argue about trying to break or change it.

Go Metis nation? Are you kidding? Last time I checked EVERYONE in this country was subject to the law. This has already been to court, probably at great monetary and personal cost to both sides. The Court ruled in favor of the widow and that should be the end of it. After all the widow is considered to be the surviving nest of kin, not the Mother. What's that old saying........? "A son is a son till he takes a wife" ? Dragging this out is not going to change anything and is only further dividing the survivors. Were there not children to think about here? Get a grip people.

Yes its time to stop this cat and mouse game over one of our local boys death.Memories never die so let peoples lives get back to normal and remember the man not the long over run spat. We can still look into setting up a web cam at the new grave site Grace, so for everybodies sake you and Ron must find foregivness and try to make peace with Kelly.
