I feel strongly i contracted sarcoidosis from unloading trucks at Ups(United Parcel Service). The Dust in the Air should Be tested. I unloaded over 400 trucks or more and now my life is not the same. With a heart condition they still seem to send me on routes that are heavy. Its all about the money, or Ups says safety first. When I would get off work from unloading I would blow my nose and black stuff would come out of it. Ups know that can't be good. That's where I contracted sarcoidosis. Pray 4 Me!

I'm 49,been at this compassionate , understanding company there over 15 yrs and female..I do more than the young guys and do it better..I have not been injured, but my body hurts all over,I do a great job, but now I'm loading almost 1000 pkgs in 3 1/2 hrs, Then they send an empty truck up to help out the overloaded drivers,They are doing this to make it purposely impossible to do my job,, go figure.

They treat Truck drivers like we where nothing but subhuman waste and all we are doing is helping with the over flow this time of year because they do not have the trucks to handle it, It got so bad I just refused to take there loads, It almost cost me my job. I do not drive now due to On the job injury. But the one in memphis Tn was the worst out of all the ones I went to. But that was a few years ago, it might have chaned. Seen some of those "helpful" truckers. Seen them take 2 days to get the loads UPS moves in 8-10 hrs.Brown doesn't like to wait and neither does their customers.

That is hard to believe! Time is money! If your wheels are not turning you are not getting paid. UPS loads are (TSL) and as far as brown goes it went out of business long time ago, So I do not think you are up to speed on what is going on except on one thing, Truck drivers today are no where what they use to be! Driver use to do the job because they wanted to and dress in a way that was clean and took showers and shaved, But sadly to say now days It is a rare cite to see a clean driver, One that looks and acts Professional. Now that I have changed my Professions in life it is sad to how trucking has taken a nose dive... When we see drivers on the road they look worn out and there inside of there trucks looks and smell bad most of the time...It breaks my heart when I see 18 year old with CDL’S and have no clue how to drive a truck or anything else?

By ours (Southwest Sort Rider), they can't place you outside your job classification (i.e. if you're a loader, they can't work you in preload without paying you an extra dollar, or have you washing cars, etc), and seniority is pretty much only good to decide who gets extra/less hours, preference-wise. What you do if you decide to stay (in this part of the country, anyway) is up to them. But...how quickly you do it is up to you. You may find you have a knack for the things you like and you're very, very bad at doing the jobs they keep passing on.

I'll start with TIMECARD FIXING, INTIMIDATION AND HARRASSMENT, SAFETY VIOLATIONS, HAZMAT VIOLATIONS, and go from there. Like Michael Moore. Maybe I can enlist his help. After working for UPS for 24 years my knee finally gave out, after 3 surgeries and rehab it was determined that I could not do the work I was doing any more. The "accommodation talks" that insued were a joke. UPS: "can you go back to driving?" Me: No but with just a couple of minor adjustments I can do job A, B, or C . UPS: "Sorry, we have an unoffical 100% healed policy, if we accommodate you then we have to do it for everyone. There is nothing we will do for you. Teamster Buisness agent ( my only representation allowed )"Hey, just play the game, come back to work for one day and say that you can't do it, then when you come back in two years do it again... if you do this three times you're golden !" Did UPS admit your knee problem was caused by working for them? Would you have got disability if you had "played along"?

First let me tell you never lie in a problem like this, If you do it will come back to haunt you in the long run, Second get yourself a good Private Lawyer.( my only representation allowed ) Hog wash. Been there done that..There is always a lawyer that will take up your cause, Now in saying this it will take time, He will get a good chunk of your money also. But you can force them to send you to school for retraining and even if your lucking pay for your lawyer also. Do not lay down and take this, it took me like 5 years to get my problems taken care of. I wish you the best.

At Puerto Rico the fleet is garbage. So much so that the parts for the vehicles that we have are obsolete. According to the collective bargaining, the entire fleet for PR was supposed to be changed by new vehicles.(5 years ago) and here I am driving a unit that has way over 150,000 miles, doesn't have power steering, fan or an orthopedic seat. My body aches and when I complain, my boss replies, "if you can't handle it then quit. Way to go UPS, so much that you talk about safety and all you care about is saving and making money.
