i am working for Cr England now and have been for a few months now i have actually put 800.00 in my pocket, this shit sucks, i believed in what that told me and none of it has come to be true, i was just wanting to work and make a fair wage and with these guys i am not seeing it, now that i have spent everything i have in savings to change jobs and do something else, i am kinda trapped, i have lost my house and place to live and now call my lease truck home and regretfully wake up everyday wishing i could just get payed what they said they would pay me but with every pay day i see they find another way to steel my money away.

You know there are two sides to every story it could be a possibilty that you took advances on your pay or you dont realize that it is almost impossible to make a living as an owner-op my friend did it it all sounded good on paper and lost his ass. not because of england because he kept taken advance off his pay and fucked england every chance he got

I had a nice chat with a CR England driver once. He told me his net was 1.43 per mile. I said good luck and walked away, no need in arguing with a fool. It is sad to see so many people who are otherwise smart get tied up with these scam outfits. I do hope more people will use more common sense and do the math and read the contract when they are aproached with this bunk.

Don't fool yourself james. Very few people ever make any more money in a lease purchase plan than they would as a driver for a good company, most wind up deep in debt and take years to crawl out from under it. And in 25 years I have known of only 3 people who have made it through a lease purchase plan succesfully.

I was a solo lease / operator for CR England for 6 months (2006) and when I decided not to renew my 6 month trial lease, I had close to $10,000 in my bank account (that was what I saved from my earnings after paying my monthly personal bills). A few years later (2008- 09) I drove solo again, for US Xpress (better company in my opinion) and again, I decided not to renew my lease and after 6 months I had managed to save almost $15,000, again all earned from that 6 months as lease / op and after paying my monthly bills, etc- As long as we get the miles, we will earn money, so what am I doing differently that you folks are not? BTW, each time I decided not to renew my lease, it was because I wanted extended time off and had nothing to do with the company.

there is only one way to truely make money with cr england as a lease operator. That is conserve fuel or steal as much fuel from your refer unit that you can. Theres a reason england pushes its lease option. This definitly isn't to help drivers become sucessful business owners. If working 70 hrs a week for $300.00 to 400.00 a week, while staying away from family and freinds is anyones idea of a good job then your a lunatic

My husband currently works for cr england as a company driver. He has yet to receive a correct pay settlement. The people in payroll need MAJOR training. And they expect us to be EXCITED to commit to a lease purchase arrangement with them? NOT - we will run the other way.

I am entering a cdl school in PA. I am getting a $6000 grant through the employment agency. Here in Philadelphia its called Career Link, but its a federal grant paid through state employment agencies. It was not very hard to get and saves you having to pay back tuition or work for a specific trucking companies after you graduate. In PA you need to be unemployed or way under employed to qualify, so check in with them to find out. Try talking to local trucking schools and they should know something about it. Good Luck

C.R. England is the place to get started in my opinion because they are a major trucking firm and transportation company. We need further evidence from the media to who really is the best transportation company to work for. The trucking industry is not every ones personal business although we all benefit.

I will add too, that reading most of these posts and the horrible English, spelling, punctuation, grammar, foul language in your messages (and NOT proofreading what you write!) that is does not surprise me one bit that you feel "screwed". You come across as "victims" of the world and I'm sure this goes far beyond your experiences with trucking companies. Maybe if you take the time to go through your contracts and paperwork and what is expected of you as well as try your best to make your best impression on others, your lives just might be better. Also, how many of you put more commitment into your trashy tattoos and piercings, etc., looking like circus clowns and low lives than you do into what is really important in life? Just something to think about...

Crengland is a place to start as a new driver that's it you are paying dues. Their will be good checks and sometimes bad checks. Learn from your experiences with crengland they are experts at benifiting from your lack of knowledge about trucking. Learn as much as you can and leave as soon as you get a year experience with a better company.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Scorpio

Watch out when dealing with other people early on, because it will be awfully easy to get bogged down in petty details. What's more, as the Moon moves into Scorpio later in the day, it's very subjective so you may find it quite hard to separate your emotions from your thoughts. This isn't a good day to discuss anything important, unless you want to go round in circles.
