ozark motor lines, inc, memphis, tn. their drivers run illegal (over hours on log books) unsafe to the motoring public. the FMCSA needs to shut that outfit down. maybe CSA2010 will hang them by the balls. that old man that runs the operation side of it should be charged, he allows the drivers to run illegal, also push the drivers, he should be hung by the balls also. what another poor excuse for a trucking company. what a waiste of airspace. why should anyone have to die on our highways because of these illegal trucking companies that know they are breaking the law?

Instead of raging on truck drivers, I'm gona go for the RV that I followed down 2 miles of Interstate, with his "refuse" (and you know what I mean by refuse)tanks draining right in the highway. I thought at first he had just not closed the valves after dumping, but it just kept coming and coming and I figured out he was in the process of dumping at the moment! Needless to say I said 2 miles because once I figured out what was going on,I made a hasty get away by going around him and getting away from the nasty thing!
Occurred to me later that I should have called the cops on him..if a trucker gets into trouble for peeing in a bottle in an emergency and trashing it,,what would they have done to him?

what would they have done to him?

Probably nothing. Truck drivers are easier targets and more financially lucrative.

Unless a truck driver belongs to one of those lawyers on retainer things, they will just pay the ticket and move on.

Most can't afford the time or money involved in fighting tickets on their own. Spill coolant or some fuel and they want to call EPA and give you a million dollar fine.

something most don't know is. you don't need to be involved in one of those pre-paid leagal services or have an attourney on retainer, you can always call and appeal to the court and get a court appointed lawyer to fight the ticket. remember, you have the right to an attourney, if you can't afford that right, one will be appointed for you.

no employed truck driver will qualify for a public defender. Now, I never thought about it until now, but I had always assumed you had to be in the courtroom personally when you fought a ticket. But if one had that pre-paid service you wouldn't have to be there so maybe if you hired a lawyer you wouldn't need to be there either.

Hmmmm. Do you know how that would work?

no not for the public defender, and a fine that started at 1200.00 got reduced to 75.00. and you have been able to use a public defender all along. just no one ever thinks they can so they never try. you have the same rights, no matter what the reason is that you go to court for.

Truck drivers are simply over paid delivery boys that think they are important to the country. They aren't. Without them we would quickly adjust to rails and short deliveries. There are too many trucks on the road and many truck drivers are dangerous and careless.
Other than that, I have nothing against them.

He thinks drivers are overpaid?! Obviously he has no clue what drivers do and the BS they have to put up with. And with tolls and fuel going up, having to pay to have cargo unloaded and other expenses going up, drivers are actually making less.

Granted, there are some undesirables out there driving. Anyone who has been out there any length of time has seen them. But his so called solution will never work. Receivers scream at drivers now if they are 15 minutes late. I guess they would have a heart attack if they had to wait a week for their stuff on a train.

CSA/2010 doesn't seem to be working that well; I'm seeing more & more trucks on the road not less, tons of foreiners, and a bunch of rollovers like this morning on I/55 & the Dan Ryan, guy rolls over a scrap/iron truck loaded, I still don't understand how you roll a semi; Don't you feel it in the gut when u'r going to fast?
Man, so anyway, a driver told me yesterday I could make $2000.00 a week at "Roadlink" pulling cans and I can get good financing at "House of trucks'in Willowbrook I/55 & US-83, But I ain't buying it....

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Pisces

It's too easy to get caught up in nit-picking and hair-splitting today, Pisces, especially if you disagree with someone. Why waste time correcting each other and disputing the facts, when none of this will get you very far. You're easily swayed by other people's opinions right now, making it difficult to make up your mind about anything.
