Hang in there guys and never give up. so true mike,bs everywhere you gotta have faith and hope.

gotta have faith and work is only what you make it to be. unfortunately the job i have is a dead end job. i only got it because i was laidoff from the freight industry as a loader, forklift operator. security is what i do now but its not going to take care of my family or my future. so i need to get back to what i know best, moving freight. this time as a driver.

Do not go through CR England or just get your CDL and leave. I was with them for 7 months as a company driver. They stuck me with 2 idiot co drivers, than I went to relief and recovery fleet. They scapegoated me for burning a clutch out on a 500k mile former training truck. I was tolerant of them during my time (give them a chance and it was the only job i had also) with them and they still impaled me. DM Brad Bingham gave me crappy loads and was unrepsonisve and made me wrong illegaly.

Also I got sick out on a trainers truck and after being dropped off at and being released from an ER they said i brought this (stomach virus) on myself and almost left me stranded on a $29 paycheck. After I left CR England I fought with them for 10 months with a Utah Wage Claim. If you were a company driver and CR England owes you any money file a wage claim with the Utah Labor Commission, and just keep fighting. Carrie Johansen will make up all kinds of lies to imtimdiate you to give up. Just keep on fighting and they will settle as they did with em

Sounds like you had to earn the money twice, once by doing the work, then everything you have to do to collect it. Tey sound like a company to avoid.

Funny that's exactly the same response you gave one year ago..LOL How can a co. possibly put 400 people to work each week? ALSO BE AWARE THAT CR ENGLAND is a govt. subsidized business..helps employment records look better in states where schools are located..GOOD LUCK landing a good paying job with them, also be prepared to pay BIG MONEY for their "in house" student loan..Please do some research before you jump out of the pan, and into the fire!

It is harder to do out of state but it worked

My Hubby goes tomorrow to Indiana- we got all the info I needed and got everything we could think of written down. He is going to the refresher and on from there. Getting exp then we are looking local. We know to not lease or sign anything without reading. And I told him- don't let them pressure you! We will be ok if they "starve miles" just stay out there and stay legal! If we have to start over again so be it! I hope things go well- and will try to update. Good luck to those looking and those burned.

Trained and drove briefly for CR England. It went well, as long as you remember you are driving the 48 states. I did not buy a truck and I think if you are new it is very risky. After a just a few months I came home and drove locally. I got what I paid for, found out I didn’t like being on the road. I did drive with a O/O who got his truck at CR England. He said he needed to take on new students in order to make it, and he complained about how bad his new truck was being treated with all the students.
Pay as little as you can for your CDL not sure of England rates now.
Good Luck!!!
