Is it legal 4 these guys to keep my final paycheck for 45 days? Normally pay is weekly on tuesdays. I knew they would withhold my completion bonus (was a lease operator) but not my paycheck... now im in a bind till I can get 1st check from new employer. Ive always thought the employer must pay for services rendered but it seems England does what ever they want.

And once again I stress how important it is that drivers do not smoke crack. |

Every trucking company has its pros and cons. Read small print on any document before signing. I am sure that this company has been checked out by dot and other state officials. They must be legal and within the state regulations.

You are picking a really, really bad time to enter this profession. On second thought, if this strike/shutdown goes well, it may be a good time after the dust clears. Who knows? Most companies are the same, they just use different ways to screw you over. Good luck.

I leased my truck unto Barr Nunn.Bad mistake. They
seem to lack common sense.Got a load from the joliet area to ST. louis.Got that done then sat 3 days waiting for the next load.On monday when the dispatcher returned to work after a nice week end at home he told me the reason I got no load was that they did not have a copy of my trucks tittle. All he had to do was call and request one. This and several DUH on their side I recomend look elsewhere to lease unto. |

I am going to CR Englands truck school within the next two weeks at there SLC, UT school. I read all of the complaints about the company but I want to see for my self and judge the company from there. I called other companies that offer training but swift cant hire me (reasons). I called schneider national and I was on hold for more than 2 hrs so I hung up any company like that must not take care of there employees. So I will try CRE. What do I have to loose I still live with parents and owe collection agencies and I have a job to come back too if need be.

Sounds like a lot of you have had a lot of bad DM/fleet managers. England really takes good care of their people as long as their people take good care of themselves first. If drivers do their part, England does it's part. As somone else said, it is typical of any company to hold the final pay in case of damage to property or paperwork not being submitted or any other expenses England has to pay because a driver leaves in a bad situation - truck recovery (abandoned trucks) and truck cleaning are some of the biggest expenses we have when a driver leaves. Why should the company have to shell out $2-300 beacause some driver was a pig and couldn't clean up after himself or upwards of $1000's because a driver abandoned his truck and it was towed - not to mention drivers who leave under dispatch which costs everyone more? 99% of my drivers only leave if they have no choice.. like every large company there are some good and bad apples... feed back from my drivers says England and our division are great! Hope you all find a profitable way to go - sorry it didn't work with England, but I don't believe England as a company is out to get anyone! It has been my experience that England as a whole is one of THE most classy trucking companies out there.

I have been a lease opp for over a year now and have been extremely successful. It is not Englands fault you failed, it is yours!!!!!!!The one thing I have learned being out here on the road is drivers like to blame everyone else except themselves as well as exaggerate everything way beyond the truth. I have broken down, I was in debt when I finished training and all the samethings that everbody else has gone thru so stop crying. The only fault of Englands is the fact that they allow every dip**** a chance to try and run a business. Yes, a lease is running your own business, that makes you resonsible for your success. Oh yeah, I have had the same dm the entire time I have been with England and I go home when I want and get more than enough miles to pay my 3,000 mortgage and live a very nice comfortable life on the road as well as at home.

I have two samll kids at home and work full time for a large healthcare campany. The kids and I havn't seen my husband in over a month. CR England gave him a dedicated run that was suposed to have him home once a week and instead, we see him even less than once a month. He trains two guys at a time and is killing himself, by the time he comes home, my kids will be in high school!!

I have worked for cr England for 2.5 years and lease a truck, I would reccomend England to anybody, I make 2500.00 a week and that is no typo two thousand five-hundred per week. The only people that don't succeed is the lazies, LOL they have always treated me great, if I have a problem with somthing I don't just quit I ask questions. Maybe some of u people are asking the wrong questions.
