Best bet on finding retire funds is look on old statements if it was through a security broker it would be on file, maybe a 800 #? If it was all invested in a company that went out of business maybe check for bankruptcy filings? Some old auto repair customers had a ton invested in zerox shares. They stated they lost tens or more thousands of their retirement fund, that was when they were around 15/share. Last I saw was 4/share. Yikes! Good luck driver hope it works out that your monies are just in an investment account and have grown to enjoy your hard earned retirement.

Judged: 1 I remember C&H. Did you RETIRE from C&H in 1999? When did the letter show up, recently? When were your payments supposed to start? What has happened in the last 10 years? Did your address change? Check with PBGC.GOV but try to find out the name of the company that OWNED C&H. Their pension might be listed under that name instead of C&H. The Texas secretary of state might have old records showing what name the owners of C&H went by. Good luck with this! |

Kind of a slow reply to your question. ANR/Advance shut down at the end of Dec.98 after a month long strike by drivers. The company had not signed the contract which was up in June (I think)and were essentially operating without a contract.I had 27 years with them and had retired a year or so before they shut down. Coastal Corp. bought ATL in 81 and then proceeded to buy other companies. At some point they decided they didn't want to be in the trucking busines and ran what were a number of good companies under the ANR name out of business. Thwe ANR came from American Natural Resources which was an energy company based out of Detroit and previously purchased ATL. Coastal than aquired American Natural. |

Bill, they merged with Alliance out of Milwaukee after ANR spun them off. Then ATL and Alliance shut down. I worked for ATL/ANR from 1964 until 1988. Was a driver 13-years and then into safety departemnt. |

This guy bashing the rookie is the problem with trucking! Drivers just stand around and watch each other get screwed but never stand up as a team... get on the cb and fight like kids... lie about making good money when they're broke... the list goes on....

Are advertising for lease purchase truck drivers they then bring them to IN and sign them up with their lease purchase trucks. Once these drivers start working for them they never receive a pay check, there have been many drivers who have seen no payment for any work for months, they give the drivers $250.00 advance a week that’s all. People are being mislead about their questionable lease program and are being scammed. They then threaten to put erroneous information on the drivers D.A.C. report if they quit their lease. I would like to know which agency that can look in to this matter as many people are suffering due to this alleged scam. Thank you |

1-Scam lease purchase program. 2-Steal all your money and under pay for trip loads. 3-Keep your truck in red so you can owe them money each week and have no pay check. They have drivers who have received no pay checks for months, drivers who lost their homes, drivers are threatened with bad DAC reports if they don’t do what they ask regardless of safety and the law. These people are scam artist and organized crime comes to mind when you do some checking. Check them out on the web. Do not work there they will rip you off, turnover rate is 98% they bring in 8 to 16 new drivers a week and only operate 189 trucks a roll over scam no money no pay and the worst safety rating of any company with D.O.T. check it out a the U.S. D.O.T. web site. They lease the same trucks over and over and are making a killing of f the sweat of hard working people. These people need to be criminally investigated |

Perkins Logistics & Specialized Transportation LLC
Individualized attention you will not find we are all about ourselves and money at any cost. We’re small enough to be able to work with all of our drivers on a personal basis by scamming them with lies to them and ripping them off. At Perkins, drivers are a number. We take the time to rip off every one of our drivers. Perkins’ personnel go the distance to understand each driver’s capabilities and how to further their debt bondage to us. With this, the driver is more unsuccessful and we prevail by huge profits. We’re not a driver friendly organization Think of us as your worst enemy in your wallet. Our relationships with drivers are based on making us successful. We have teams of people that work behind the scenes to increase our success potential – everything from profitability to ignoring safety compliance to cash flow. In short - when we are successful, we are successful. It’s that simple. We’ve put a real “A” team together with a support program that speaks for itself. Here are some of the features that make only us successful and our drivers bankrupted. Profitability: We continuously monitor and review utilization – miles and revenue per week – to ensure that the driver stays broke and generates more revenue for Perkins Transportation. Safety and Legality: We work tirelessly to maintain noncompliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation to ensure that every driver is operating at the highest chance of being inspected by D.O.T. check out or safety rating at their website Scheduling and business development: Our account representatives work every day on scheduling and generating new business offering below market value freight and making our drivers pull it free for us. |

I worked for a company union from 1988-1994 when they closed their doors. In 2002 I was working for a non-union company that had just changed its name so we had new uniforms, business cards with my name on it and my truck re-branded. While at a customers place I talked to a guy that was working for a union company, and he told me F- my uniform, F- my business cards, F- my company, F-his company and F- the customer, he also said “I don’t work for the customer or my company, I work for me. You need to quit your company and come work where I do” 3months later his company (Consolidated Freightways) went out of business, I heard he went to Roadway and we know what happen to them, they merged with yellow. I don’t know what happen to him. But hopefully he retired, because with the merger and he was low at the bottom he may have been laid off. BTW I tried to get on with a union company after Industrial freight systems closed in 94, yet they would not hire me. The non-union company I am with now did and treats me very well. I guess I should add I’m not against union companies, but I didn’t like the union I was with, and I didn’t like most of the union workers attitude. |

There was a list posted by my company once that read “in 1955 there was 50 union trucking companies, in 2005 there were 5 union trucking companies” and we know what has happened since 2005. Roadway and yellow merged (and have been on the verge of going out of business since 2008); overnight and motor cargo merged and became UPS frt. So how many union trucking companies are out there now? of course this may of been just a LTL list. but either way it says a lot. |
