Does anyone know where I can find a list of Trucking companies including 0/0 that wnet out of business this year due to price of fuel?

do you know what happened to associated truck lines inc/anr frieght system, they were out of grand rapids mich, then were bought by anr/costal chemical co?

Driver / Mentor (Willie Ruffin) did continuesly demand under penatly of threat of physical harm and or just throwing me out of truck to have me falsify logs and when I turned him in to Swift I was the one punished by way of them refusing my "Workers Compensation" & claiming that I quit when I never did. Willie Ruffin did also tell me that his last student driver he was assigned has a broken arm because Willie Ruffin threw him of the Swift truck # 930452.Alcohol or Drug Regulations Motor carrier is in violation of Drug/Alcohol usage regulations. Motor carrier is in violation of Drug/Alcohol testing regulations.Unsafe Vehicles or Equipment Commercial motor vehicle did not have required equipment.Com mercial motor vehicle did not perform proper inspection, repair and maintenance. Swift Driver Willie Ruffin (Swift Driver Code RUWIL1) did have a heart attack and was being treated for Wood Tic Related Diseases & was never cleared released by a Doctor to drive & he was taking five or six different prescription drugs which did effect his driving & he was always tire and groggy and even pissed himself while sleeping in the jump seat on our second day driving together & Swift knowing this still let him drive and with out telling me did assign me till after I drove with Swift Driver Willie Ruffin to drive team with him and he was to be my mentor.Now I after three weeks of driving Swift Truck # 930452 (2007 KW T2000 blue in color) with Swift Driver Willie Ruffin have to be treated for Wood Tic Related ...

Terminated for Refusing to Commit a Violation Driver was terminated for refusing to commit a violation related to Hours of Service.Driver was terminated for refusing to commit a violation related to Size and Weight. Driver was terminated for refusing to commit a violation related to Cargo Securement.

Swift Truck #930452 did not have warning triangles.At least four of the Swift Trailers I was forced to pull had Safety Defects but if I did not drive I was threatened with Violence & being thrown from the truck.Swift Driver Willie Ruffin did Throw his previous Team Student Driver from the Truck which resulted in his Arm being Broken at least that is what Willie Ruffin told me.All trailer numbers are recorded in my logs and notes. Ask for them and you may have them.. Why don't you start your own forum about swift???? ask any other driver out on the road and they will tell you that swift sucks and their rookie drivers do the stupidest stuff on the road and in parking lots. welcome aboard to the trucking industry rookie. Did your weekend warrior cdl mill promise you the world and a Rosie life after you bought a cdl from them ?? get used to it dummy. The only good out here is what you make of it and you sound like someone who needs to be coddled. You are right and he needs to get a life. Swift sucks, J.B. sucks, all the trucking companies on the stock market suck, all the small local companies probably suck too. Get a job driving for Wal-Mart or Blue Bell Ice Cream.

The Trucking Industry is the bottom of the Free Enterprise Ocean and a lot of whale poop is on them.

I amongst other duties drove truck in the U.S. Army for years and also for years on farms.

My only other skilled proffesion was finding people who did not want to be found and bringing them in dead or alive. Most of my previouse employers preferred them dead.

I choose to stick with driving truck in part it was considerably easier and I should not have to kill anyone.

Which carreer would you rather I continue?

Do both. Get a New Trucking company and use their trucks to find and run over Swift. Most people don't like Swift anyhow.

Or here is another good idea...retrain into a profession that has some dignity and respect.

If you start a forum about upset Swift drivers, you might bogg down the Internet with complaints and general negative information.

I have actually tried to find this information once before. It seems that the records do not indicate "Why" a trucking company goes out of business.

The "Why" block is not on the application. It is a natural occurance in a dynamic market for companies to enter and exit the industry.

Deregulation has greatly intensified the phenomonon in the transportation sector.

When you enter a market totally controlled by the competition and the major players practice cut-throat tactics...well either shame on you are you are not afraid of losing money.

Don't confuse a money making enterprise with a tax-write off. Your own account will suffer.

Look in the lower left it says:

Find a Company's Status

Click on that and it will take you to the SAFER web site where almost all public data is kept.

The Scale House in each state line crossing can take this same web-site and know much about you just by looking up the number on the side of your truck.
