You do realize that 650 miles divided by 11 hours of driving time averages a 59 MPH speed. Not even in TN or GA would that get you in trouble. As for speed limits and safety, why have crash rates for semi trucks gone down while truck speed limits have gone up?

Maybe you should open your eyes and get the big picture, if the trucks are doing 80 and cars around them are passing, then the cars are doing 85+. You boy is keeping up with the trucks that means he is also speeding. A speeding anything is dangerous, especially when cars weave in and out of traffic. I believe it was you that said “why would cars cut in front of trucks and hit their brakes?” well you tell me. *WHACK* http://www.youtube.com/watch... And only trucks tailgate you said. *WHACK* http://www.youtube.com/watch... Here is a couple of youtube site to look at since you only believe in videos. http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSafetyTeamOrgI... http://www.youtube.com/user/Groceryhauler07 And another site for you. http://dalethetruckdriver.blogspot.com/2011/0... Enjoy FYI The most dangerous thing about a truck, are the cars around it. Because car drivers are not properly train to handle their own cars. Also I don’t read in Watchmycar post that he was driving a truck, he did say “while I am in a 4 wheeler as well” he could be a trucker and a 4-wheeler, but he didn’t say that did he. You should try reading better.

concerned american wrote: <quoted text> you must be a saftey director fresh out of college that took a job just because you needed one, but you know nothing about saftey of big trucks or cars. your salary is probably around 20,000 to 25,000 dollars per year. you probably work for a large trucking company like werner or swift. you probably still live at home with your mother and father. your probably still a virgin and a mama's boy. If he has sat in a truck he has 60 times more knowledge (99% more if he’s driven a truck) then you on trucks and truck safety. It’s something that you and the groups will never understand, because you refuse to learn and experience. It’s your loss. this was a test of the CSA many drivers thought as you did and were wrong. just as you are wrong about CSA http://www.thetrucker.com/News/Stories/2011/8... "• 87.3 percent of drivers falsely believed that traffic tickets/convictions are part of FMCSA’s SMS calculations. The data kept by a state (i.e. tickets, citations, written warnings, convictions) and the data that are kept in the SMS (i.e. violations from RI and crash reports) are separate. • 77.5 percent of drivers incorrectly believed that a trucking company inherits past violations from new hires. Carriers do not inherit any of a newly hired driver’s past violations; only those inspections that a driver receives while driving under a carrier’s authority can be applied to a carrier’s SMS record. • 72.2 percent of drivers falsely believed that FMCSA can revoke a commercial driver’s license (CDL) as a result of CSA. CSA does not give FMCSA the authority to remove drivers from their jobs and cannot be used to rate drivers or to revoke a CDL; only state agencies responsible for issuing licenses, CDL or otherwise, have the authority to suspend them. • 68.6 percent of drivers falsely believed that CSA takes into account a driver’s personal vehicle driving record. Tickets or warnings that CMV drivers receive while operating their personal vehicles do not count in the SMS. • 58.5 percent of drivers falsely believed that the FMCSRs have changed as a result of CSA. CSA has not changed any of FMCSA’s regulations, although FMCSA is advocating for a future rule change to alter the carrier safety rating process for determining whether or not a carrier is unfit" http://www.thetrucker.com/News/Stories/2011/1... try testing yourself. answers are a link at the bottom of the page.

Hello Joe,I've noticed that you started posting on youtube again. What does the DA's office think of that? You must be in need of funds, because lawyers cost money. How many times has your case been postponed now? Was that your attorneys that were videoing truck traffic from the exit 1 bridge over I-75 in East Ridge, Tn. They must think that these actions will help your case. Sounds like to me, that you must have found your legal representation out of a back room of a pawnshop on Rossville Blvd. Winter time is coming on and the roofing business is slack. In closing, good luck with your fund raising.

38 years of this crap wrote: To Hell with his fund raising. I agree. I hope you realize that I was being sarcastic with my post. About a month ago, there were two attorneys atop exit 1 {East Ridge, Tn} clocking truck speed with a radar gun. It was televised on News Channel Nine. I presumed that it was part of Volpes dream team. They claimed that they were clocking trucks at 80+ mph. That is B.S. Trucks going north would not be going that speed with the 75/24 split just ahead. Trucks going south cannot reach that high of a speed from 75/24 split to exit 1. I presume they were clocking cars. Anyone with just a little common sense can see that. Besides, with the conguestion in that area, it is virtually impossible at 5:00 in the afternoon. I hope Volpe gets his just reward through the courts. But until then, just to let everyone know, Volpe is back on the roads with his camera. Mainly between Tn. state line and Dalton, Ga. We all got our eyes open for him. What a coward he is! Sorry for the name callin, but the truth hurts. Have a nice day 38 yrs of this crap.

concerned american A couple think you are the “hate the truckers” guy (or more like “couldn’t be a trucker”) but whether you are him, or you know him. If you can get him a message from me tell him this. “I think its kinda cowardly not to let anyone comment or ever thumbs up or down. I would like to know what people think. That’s why on my pg I don’t ban anyone or delete comments. Even if they are stupid, I like others to see how stupid they are and some of the arguments. But that’s just me, I like to man up to what I film. Oh if someone gets too much (like cussing or vulgar) I might remove it since there are children on that might see it but that’s just me. If you can man up to comments, maybe you could at least turn on the thumbs part. I would like to see what people think, and mostly say. BTW check these out. talk about dangerous http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.youtube.com/watch...

If you check with channel 9 news in Chat.Tn., you might think different.Did you bother to look at the # of four wheelers that cut over in front of the trucks with no turn signals and then slow down, or cut them off to get off an exit . Get real , wake up,most wrecks are cause by cars, try looking up the stats on google before you comment on something you know nothing about. mind your own business, ding dongs like you have no idea, later bubble

For some strange reason I stumbled over this conversation and found it very interesting for many different reasons. The first reason is because I'm a female truck driver and have been doing long haul for several years. As a matter of fact I have been driving for 18 years. In today society if someone in a four wheeler was following me and pulling up next to my truck with a video camera, the first thing I will do is call 911 and give them my location. 2. Thing I would do would be run his or her ass off the road!!! 3. If he or she comes back shooting then well pretty much his car won't make it against my big truck!!!! See what a lot of you in your non driven 4 wheeler mind has set in your brain it's all the trucks fault!!! Well Concerned American I have a lot to tell you!!! As far as all truck drivers doing drugs is just well bullshit!!! When you have to go take a random in a state where you are delievering to and after you drop your load you have less than 15 min to get to the doctors office to be tested..now here is what my company does for it's test..urine, blood, hair, and bac!!!!! So if all of us driving for the company I drive for which by the way is the 3rd largest trucking company in the industry, and we all get randoms nothing found anywhere..what gives you the right to say that 98 percent of us use drugs? You also said that people in 4 wheelers don't do drugs. Well I'm here to tell your yankee ass that you have NO CLUE what you are talking about..have you ever watched that show COPS??? 9 times out 10 the driver in a car has drugs, alcohol, or both and not to mention their children in the back seat that isn't in seat bealts!!! How many men, women, and children get killed by a drunk driver in a car every year? Do your research!!! I can tell you one thing I am from the south and VERY PROUD OF IT!!!I really don't care about the out come of the civil war, makes no difference to me!! All I know is that HONEST ABE was GaY!!!! LOok that up in the history books..but wait a minute he is a Yankee, and just in case you don't know our definition of a yankee in the south...it's that little string you pull your tampon out with!! But you go up North and see how many cars cut big trucks off and then slam their brakes on!! Or for that matter open your eyes where you drive..all I have seen you post is about trucks driving where you live!! For one thing I drive through there a bunch..and you guy's cannot drive!!!! You all need to go back to driving school from the very beginning!! Now this man that you are trying to uphold is a crook!!! He always has been and always will be..and I can say this because I have great knowledge of him and his "busness!! My ex us to work for this man!!! However, if you feel that strongly about trucks then you need to get your butt up and drive to all the distributers yourself and get your food, clothes, toilet paper to wipe you butt with ...so on and so forth!!! You really have no clue what it's like out here on the road !!! If you would dare to try it you might be more appreciative!!! FYI for you too the speed limit in bottom part of texas is 80 mph for trucks and cars!! Trust me we as drivers don't want to be around cars anymore than y'all want to be around us!! So that is enough for right now but I have a lot more to say and I'm gonna say it trust me!!!
