My husband has been with them for almost a year and out of the other 3 major companies he has ran for Dowdy is the best. Great pay, very little layover.

I have been trucking for 20 year.An no other trucking cois like Ronnie dowdy.It the BEST OF ALL..

Great company worked there for eight years company and O/O left for three years getting ready to go back.And Linda is ok

my husband works for ronnie dowdy. good company if you don't mind lying on your logs. illegal driving is a requirement at this company so beware

i worked for a month before they fired me because i used foul langauge on the qualcom..this company is a joke and they have not yet inserted my last weeks earnings in my bank account after i turned in over 4,000 miles worth of bills and paperwork at .35 cents a mile,,Ive talked to a lawyer and were gonna send put them out of bus. PERMANANTLY!!!!

i drove for rdi for a year company and 3 yrs as a o/o they are great people. you will nt work for anyone better.

been broke down over a week company refuses to answer phone had to beg for hotel expense, attitudes are extremly bad, it has taken a toll on me and my family, did not supply transportation to and from hotel had to walk miles a day just to eat as i can see company is still running extremly illegal forcing drivers to run over in hrs and so on

company with an extremly bad attitude towards thier drivers and ronnid downdy has forgotten how he started with earl wayne dowell overall picture stay away from RDI

im leaveing for the ramada in batesville to start orientation on monday. Ill keep you posted how it goes. the recruiter i believe was honest with me, like no ez pass and ill have to pay for tolls, by the comments it looks like ill have to photo copy them for insurance. a profesional truck driver doesnt swear on the qual-com you get in trouble for that, its fcc regulated.also i was told its forced dispatch even to NYC, which isnt too appealing, but they atleast were upfront about it. i just hope its not very often. I hope its not as bad as some are saying. A good dispatcher makes up for other short comings. Its the luck of the draw. If I get EZ pass on my own any body know how much that is? or does it depend on toll roads used? oh well doesnt sound like this company has all the bells and whistles but bottem line I need to make enough money to make a liveing. not just enough to pay the bills, and eat balogni all month. Reefer freight is recsession proof Ive heard. Guess ill find out.

After working 14 years for Mr. Dowdy, last Christmas he calls me on my Christmas vacation wanting me to take a load to CA, I told him yes, but I would have to leave Sunday instead Saturday because I was at my mother's for Christmas, and that Saturday afternoon he calls me and asked me "Where are you at?", I said I am still at my mothers for Christmas he said "you told me you'd be here Saturday" I said no we agreed to Sunday. He said no the load has to leave Saturday to get to CA on time, so he sent my truck out with my stuff in it and keeped it out for 2.5 weeks and would not dispatch me on any other truck, so I was forced to quit. I called every day wanting to go out on the road and got no where with anyone. Ronnie is a no good lying supposedly Christian to do someone this way after 14 years of loyal service.

Yeah...dont go there!!! The drivers that are from arkansas get all the miles. Dont go there!! I am suprised they are still in business

Don't go to this company. They lie to you as soon as you walk in the door! D.O.T. needs to shut this company down. All their drivers are double logging. I am afraid D.O.T. must be getting paid off since nothing is happening to this company. This company will be shut down!

These so-called dispatchers have no idea what they are doing!! yes, it is just as bad as people are saying...actually worse. Dont go to this company!!!

Don't go to this company. They are in D.O.T. violation and they will be shut down. I hope D.O.T. will read this and go look at drivers logs matching them up to the qualcomm. they will be shut down immediatly

its a joke stay away ronny dowdy and his inhouse employees think thay are better than the drivers thay will use you and shit on you its the ronny dowdy way the dispatchers have no trucking xeperence ronny hires them out of the news paper
they have no lic and are in DOT violation all the time unless the drivers fix it.it dont get fixed
i will be in contact with the FMCSA in DC. and we will just see about his BOC filing

u all are crazy ronnie and the whole dowdy family are good people. and for those griping about ur log book learn how to log,abd u wont have to worry about running illiegal
