That sort of accident happens to a lot of drivers, the street gets re-paved and the sign doesn't get changed right away. Who paid for the repairs? Was an insurance company involved? As for leaving the scene, if there was no damage to the bridge, you could have thought the trailer damage was minor, a couple hundred dollars(sheet metal patch pop rivets and caulk), below the threshold of a reportable accident. Was there a deductable that he might have wanted you to pay? Maybe if you offered to pay a couple hundred toward the deductable if he wipes the record clean it would be better for both of you. A lot of companies have a "your fired!" policy for topped trailers, or a policy of the deductable coming out of the drivers pay.
well as i wright this like i said not too worried for dac services i have just talked to a few employers as in below the road mantality of jb hunt werner swift i WILL NOT ACCEPT THOSE AS A JOB im going class b straight truck garbage truck now oil truck for the trailer incindent that means nothing to them they laugh so im going under the wire for a few years the heat will kool down and hell i just might enjoy having a life working hours like normal people no one should have to work for 30 cpm and be held on such high standards i think that was 1970s pay scale master scale for non union is 49 cpm in the y2k today well guys i have a oil truck interview im wading the water i have to stand in for now ill be back

<quoted text>Drivers should always write a 'Rebuttal' and they have to post the rebuttal with the complaint the company wrote against you!!
If drivers don't rebutt what was said, that's taken as it's true and you agree with what's there.
We wrote a rebuttal and the companies don't even read that far. It has not really helped. It's still your word against theirs.

hes an idea for a new topic TRUCK ABANDOMENT this is what you do if you know your going to quit and know on what day this is what you do hire a constable to serve your company the day you arrive with written notice that your going to have written this will be about 35 dollars for the serving ,, you also hire the constable for 50 dollars for one hour while you clean your truck out now theres no TRUCK ABANDOMENT ? no any thing they have to say on your dac is bs ,,,,now you have proof of this and youll have full power to sue but unfortunly it is going to cost you more money but i think youll have your proof in your hand for your rebuttle in your next interview the hell with the rebuttle , what do you think

So,What do you do about a state that practices unfair/discriminate reporting on your criminal record? In the state of north Carolina a traffic ticket that is found DISMISSED or NOT GUILTY is put on your CRIMINAL record. the tickit will stay there for the rest of your life, if you had pled guilty to the ticket it would be off your MVR in three years. example: I have 12 tickets over my lifetime that I was not guilty of,I have 0 on my MVR now JB HUNT won't even hire me due to a "history of traffic violations" USIS doe's not weed these dismissed or out dated things off your report! SO BEWARE there my be more on your DAC than you think. I would like to know how many other states do this.
hey this should be an easy one to answer you get an attoney if its dismissed/found not guilty you have an attorney do an EXPUNGEMENT i live in the ne and have had criminal charges of found not guilty or dissmissed expunged and sent 750 dollars to do so one you have the expungement and its a court order north carolina may or may not take it off your mvr,,,,but you send a COPY of the expungement to dac they have 30 days to remove it good luck

<quoted text>actually let me let you onlittle secret. You can sue your company and let me explain how.First off go to your local court where you live and file a slander lawsuit in small claims court, It will cost you no more than 30 dependg on the state you live .As you all know usis is governed by the same people who govern the regulations of credit bureaus, experian Equifax and transunion. what you do is write a letter to the attorney general in the city of the company you worked for and file a complaint and mention the slander and by law the attorney general has to investigate it,Second, back to the small claims suit,When you get your court date and you have sent notice to the company you are going to sue ,no matter where you live the company is required to show up and due to cost 9 out of 10 times they won't and this will result in a default and the company will be required to remove what they said about you and you may gain some damages.I really get tired of the garbage out here being spread that you need an attorney! No you don't ! I fix credit reports in my spare time and one of the misconceptions there is that you need a expert to fix your credit report which is untrue! The regulations specifically state that anything put on your dac report or credit report must be 100% accurate or it must be removed meaning if a company says you quit under a load theirs technically no way to prove this and it will have to be removed because a trucking company will not spend 750$ to even investigate this but this is stuff that most drivers don't knw!I went from having 2 bankruptcies and a repo and 25 collections years ago on my credit report to having a 775 crdit score because i made the credit laws work in my favor. On a simple collection thru a credit bureau for it to legally stick on your credit report for instance is from the moment you dispute it thru the credit companies the bureau must investigate if it's accurate which they don't unless you know your stuff and make them but in the legal scheme of things the creditor who you owe must show proof of the debt etc which most never have and the same thing works for trucking companies as many of the false amd misleading things they say can never be 100% proved.I don't charge anything i just want to let every trucker out there know that dac isn't so big and bad when you know what their regulations are and how you can beat them.If anyone needs assistance with how to go about getting a company to remove negative stuff ,give me a shout via email at cameron_shelton@comcast.net

Are you able to retire or do you have another job lined up? The economy is real bad right now and it is hard to get hired if you don't already have a job.

I have just been notified that HireRight/DAC has put something back on the report that was taken off, and also DAC added "preventable" even after they sent letter stating that CR England had failed to respond within 30 days and that they had taken off report. I looked up Fair Credit Reporting Act, and in §611 that they had no more than 15 days to reinvestigate which they never met even though the company responded late DAC put this crap back on! I like the idea of small claims suing.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Libra

Feeling impatient? There's a lot you want to achieve this morning, so don't hang around. Venus is working for you, so get as much done as possible, because later in the day the Moon slinks into Scorpio, and you won't be very pleased if things get in your way. If you're faced with a logistics problem, the best way to solve it may be to throw money at it, but only if you've got the funds to begin with.
