My heart goes out to those truck drivers on the road and facing all kind of weather changes and dangerous hours without sleep. to me any place is a good place for them to take a nap, rather than risking their lives and the lives of others....!

Open up the closed weigh stations and there will be space to park.

Greenwich fights that. I wonder where they think truckers can park- not on the highway, not in the parking lots in town.

They are FORCED to rest; let them do so in a safe place

This state takes 2-3 hours,at most to get from one end to the other. Why does it seem that all the truckers come to CT. to sleep?

Before everyone has a good time slapping themselves on the back for their signs, fines and mines; I have a question: has the problem been solved or just moved somewhere else?

Where should all these good folks go to get a couple hours of shut eye? The number of trucks has grown over the years, but the number of parking spots has not.

Does anyone see the problem here?

I have no problem finding a place to rest when I'm out riding my broomstick. I just pull over to the side of the road and catch some zzzzzz's before I take off again.

They are hard working decent people who bring us the food and other daily products while we are asleep, so at least what we can do is to find them some place where they can sleep for a couple of hours, until they feel strong enough to continue their journey. You can park in my drive way any time ...!

Truck Drivers must stop and rest after a certain number of hours of driving. What do you want them to do brake the law? Most truck drivers are hard working people that get abused all the time. It really sad because if it was not for them everything would come to a stop. We hold them to ever letter of the law but yet the Federal government want to allow the Mexican truck drivers to be able travel any where.??

truckers are allowed to work in 14 hr shifts during these 14 hrs they are allowed to drive 11 hrs the other 3hrs are for loading & unloading their cargo then they have to take a 10 hrs break . this sounds very logical to me we dont need truckers falling asleep behind the wheel i happen to agree with taxed out Connecticut is the third smallest state and you can drive through it in 2hrs if it took more than 11 hrs to drive through then i can see the problem but since it doesn't i dont understand why they are so many trucks parked along our highways? and isn't there a truck stop in Milford in practically the center of the Connecticut i 95 corridor?

This must be the imposter/stalker Fairfield Resident!! A (not so) well known Fairfield Lawyer who, if he does not leave Ava and Lisa and Kelly alone just might have to deal with his real name posted all over here and in his favorite Newspaper, the Connecticut Post. I'm certain that the Editors would just love to know who their most outspoken and curiously (annonymous) critic really is

Now, would'nt that put a dent in your Ambulance chasing and your Mortgage closings.

It genuinely would be in your best interest to truly leave them alone and not mention their names again. Especially since your Intellectual equal Connecticut Sam has gotten himself banned or thrown in Jail again!!

I always thought that this Fairfield Resident dude was a little on the weird side. Now it is all crystal clear. He spouts off about reading this file and that file in all of the Fairfield threads. Now, this all makes sense. I for one would like to know his real name. I would walk right into Fairfield Town Hall and drop a dime on him in a New York minute.

Hey!...long time since I've "talked" with you! How have you been?
Since I can't remember which forum it was under, will you please (again) let me know about all these postings? Who is who again?(Looks as if it's starting up again!)
Anyway, stay well...warmer weather on the way, Mr Strfd must be happy...getting his boats ready to go out!

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Sagittarius

You're in a highly emotional state today, Archers, but what you want may not be what others are after. Jupiter is out of favor, so don't be tempted to insist that you get your own way, or that you are somehow a special case. Work in harmony with loved ones, and all will be well.
