Paul L. Beatty Sr has always been a loser that nobody likes. He and his family are perpetual troublemakers who are reaping what they have sown. A quick search of the dispatch archives shows a history of violence with the Beatty family since the early 1990s. The kid didnt just move out and go his own way. Nor were they 'close'. Paul Sr.'s first wife left him, and the kid ran away because of abuse and mistreatment. It was reported that the child was beaten with a board prior to his running away. Many times Paul would throw the child into the street, then call the police to report him 'missing' Paul Jr suffered from depression and post traumatic stress disorder from the domestic violence he endured at the hands of his father. If Paul had shown that kid any amount of fatherly concern instead of taking his frustrations out on him, maybe the kid would not have ran way to survive on the streets. Now Paul Sr is facing a second divorce and losing his daugther as well. Paul Sr. deserves to suffer the loss of his son. He can live to regret his actions and think about how he treated that kid. It would come as no shock or surprise should his daughter meet a man just like himself.

2 more suspects in robbery, chase arrested
Friday, December 08, 2006

Police have caught two more suspects from a South Side robbery and kidnapping that led to a police chase earlier this week.

Romero A. Beatty, 23, of 2539 Mara Dr., and Romeo Beatty, 24, of 3260 Possum Run Court S., were arrested last night, investigators said.

Romero Beatty is charged with kidnapping and robbery. Romeo Beatty is charged with conspiracy.

Investigators say they were in a stolen car belonging to Lewis Ruffin that had rammed a police cruiser and led officers on a chase before being stopped around midnight Monday.

Arrested that night were two others in the car: Aaron L. Beatty, 26, of 1269 E. 23 rd Ave., and Anthony W. Mixon Jr., 22, of 1200 E. Arthur Place. Each was charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping. It?s unclear if the three Beatty men are related.

Police had been called to the home of Ruffin, 1095 Fairwood Ave., at 11 p.m. Monday. He said his silver Dodge sedan and other belongings were stolen during a home invasion.

A short time later, officers tried to stop the car on Cleveland Avenue near E. 24 th Avenue, but the car rammed cruisers and drove at officers, police said.

One officer, whose name police refused to release, fired two shots at the car. No one was hit.

Police followed the car up Cleveland Avenue to Innis Road, east to Stelzer Road and south to I-670 westbound before it exited at Leonard Avenue. Police boxed in the car at Leona and Walters avenues. They said they recovered a gun along I-670 that was believed to have been tossed from the car.

Ernestine Beatty Anderson, Mother of Micheal Beatty, held custody and temporarily raised Aaron, Romeo, and Romero Beatty during the times the crimes were committed. Is there any surprise that these children grew up to commit major crimes and landed in prison? Great job Ernestine, your wonderful job as a parent will forever be archived in the Dispatch.
