I QUESTION ANYONES ABILITY TO RUN THE FMCSA WHO IS NOT A FORMER DRIVER.( WHICH I DID NOT TAKE THE TIME YET TO SEE IF ANNE HAS ANY ACTUAL DRIVING EXPERIENCE)
HOWEVER, AS THE HEAD OF THE STATE TRUCKING ASSOCIATION, I WOULD ASSUME THIS PERSON HAS A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IT REALLY TAKES TO DO THE JOB OF A PROFESSION DRIVER. THAT SHOULD BE HELPFUL IN THE AREA OF NEW RULES. SHE SHOULD ALREADY BE AWARE OF SOME OF THE ISSUES WITH THE CURRENT RULES.
MOST DRIVERS ARE ALREADY CONCERNED WITH SAFETY, NOT ONLY FOR THEMSELVES, BUT THOSE AROUND THEM WHILE DRIVING.
THERE ARE ISSUES WITH THE CURRENT RULES THAT CREATE A HAZARD IN THE INDUSTRY, THAT HOPEFULLY WILL BE ADDRESSED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

There was a segment on road dog radio on Sirius radio that was all about her it lessened most of my concerns not all but the big ones. She wants to make shippers and recievers more responcible for drivers time or charge them bigger detention fees or instatute probation for multiple in fractions and keep companies from " squeezing the drivers pay for company benifit"

She can always contact those who suffer the when the Fed Anti-trust laws get violated. The subject of regulation of trucking industry includes the trucking in seaports, this is the big can of worms subject. Scenario in the ports, trucking company dispatchers process drivers through a selection of dispatch. Dispatchers own trucks in trucking company and they choose which work to give to owner/operator, conflict of interest. The chassis bill is a special subject also. This lady that drove trucks, does anyone know if she ever drove in harbors? At this very moment the free enterprise of the U.S. is being controlled by the one sided hand. Let us clarify rules and add language to it on cricustances regarding equipment.
