Thieves target truckers as diesel prices soar
A Houston trucker said he was carjacked after filling his rig with diesel in southeast Houston. He said someone, who said they had a gun, claimed into his cab. The incident occurred after pulling out of a fueling station.>

If prices continue to rise, getting gasoline will become dangerous to one's well being. How would you liked to get jacked at the pump?

we already ARE getting jacked at the pump....by the oil companies.

When I park my truck, I leave it as near empty as I can. I used to fill up so it would be ready to go. I found my locking cap had been pipe-wrenched off and my fuel gone. This was in a safe, well-lit area years ago when fuel was under $2. What would they do now? |

Sadly your right, I worry just leaving my truck as I go in to pay or use the rest room. Even with it locked, I know it only takes a matter of minutes to drain 150 gallons of fuel. let alone worry about someone jacking me for my fuel. The on,y good thing is at least at night my rig sits in a fenced lot with cameras and lights. Guess though cops wont do anything anyway, and all the lights do is give them a better view in the dark to steal it all.

Looks like its getting time to pack heat! Heard a story, guy had locking fuel caps, the thugs drilled holes in the bottom of the tank while he slept..

Good luck comrades;you have a new-born child in your arms.With fuel prices four times as much in Turkey,we are used to living amidst the similar stories for recent years.I beleive you all will develop lots of new techniques to save your gas in your tanks as we do here.Don't be surprised seeing truckers and drivers in armored vehicles in the near future.Good luck again.
