1 Good thinking. Actually, if past experience on these kinds of things with the port is an indicator, even this timeline is quick. Phase II of the Cabrillo Marina should have been well under construction 20 years ago. It is only now beginning to get to that point. The port will likely get the biggest revenue enhancing projects going first, as it should. |

1 Redevelop the Warehouse #1 area and the areas for education and then head to the east facing outer harbor terminal which should start its development in about 2016 or later. Working on the waterfront project to help support downtown is better than showing tourists traveling through San Pedro to get to and from outer harbor terminals, a blighted downtown and waterfront, would be a shame. It's just not right to start at the end and work back to the beginning if it only helps the cruise line industry and not the local residents and businesses. |

I was pleased that the upgrades and face lift to the Downtown cruise terminal are among the very first projects. We need to make a better impression to the thousands of passengers every year and improve the connections to downtown, so the terminal is not so isolated.

2 The real money for this project is not spent until 2017 when HAHN is out of office, all the port executive staff is gone and this Board of Harbor Commissioners are all replaced by the next Mayor. THIS WAS INTENTIONAL. HAHN knew it, the Mayor knew it. And they both approved it. Hahn heads the City Council Commerce Committee that oversees all port spending. This project could not be approved without her consent. She is a Fraud. This whole exercise was just to placate the community. The port plans to allocate $25M a year for a $1.2 Billion project. At that rate the project will be completed is 48 years. Great work councilwoman, great work Mayor V. You are both huge disappointments and even bigger liars. |

3 Why does the Breeze allow Hahn to control the message, even on this blog that few read. What would be the reason to remove this comment. I can only guess it is because Hahn's staff that troll this blog asked for it to be removed. Great job Breeze, I thought the newspaper was to bring truth to the people. |

At least the Port is Planning for the Future of San Pedro. The Planning Department under Director Gail Goldberg has been promising us a new Community Plan for San Pedro for 4 years. Now she said we will not even start the San Pedro plan. There has not been a new Community Plan is 8 years in LA. The Port and CRA are the only ones doing any future planning.
