Bomb Squad Investigates Threat Against Flight At MacArthur Airport

Authorities said Southwest Airlines received a specific bomb threat to outbound flight #2622 headed from MacArthur Airport to Chicago at about 7 a.m. Friday.

Sounds like somebody didn't want somebody going to Chicago. I hope they can trace the call and if it was a hoax they should make an example out of that person.

We should be safe from any possibilities due to good security protocol. Back in the early 80's when I was at an army school, things were quite safe and any outsiders were checked thoroughly by the corporals at the reception station. Things were quite good back then. I made good money at the school training cadets for jobs involving electronics, telecommunications and etc. and I was living in a dormatory next to the main training and recruiting station.

I was there this morning trying to fly to FL and for nothing found all is good but to say only 4 flights were effected is not true....everyone was delayed and not told anything and left wondering what flights we would make and not....although they did a great job making sure there was no bomb they left everyone else hanging wondering and inconvenienced!!!!!
