USEC is right to turn down the bone that Obama is throwing them. Playing stall ball, kicking the can down the road, is not what a reasonable person would call "a clear path forward".$45 million to "research" what? This is technology developed in the 1980s. European countries use it. This country still uses gaseous diffusion, something developed for the Manhattan Project back in the early 1940s. The $45 million for "research" as well as the so-called "cleanup" jobs, which are nothing more than low-paying, dead-end jobs, are just political cover for Obama breaking his promise to support the GCEP program. I say make Obama put up or shut up. Either keep your promise to support the loan guarantee like you said you would during the campaign, or be exposed as the liar you are.

Still have to wonder why the previous Centrifuge plant at that facility was constructed, tested, and production ready - then shut down and dismantled? Last I heard the huge buildings that held these machines were used for storage of Army clothing. Our country needs some common sense leadership. The current situation is a good example of the lack of it.

Articles like these only show that Washington (and other State Governments) need a GENERAL house cleaning! As they say "Remember the Alamo", now is the time to "REMEMBER NOVEMBER ELECTIONS"!
