1 But, remember it's... Hopenchange (hope you won't go bankrupt) Change You Can Believe In (if you believe in going broke) Yes We Can (go on unemployment) Well, Ohio, you voted for this clown, now you're stuck with him. You reap what you sow. Live with it, if you can, suckers. |

1 Humbug. Those so-called "cleanup" jobs are a dead end. You literally work yourself out of a job. Where do you go when the "cleanup" is done? Ohio doesn't need more dead-end jobs. We need good-paying, skilled-labor jobs that will last over the long term. Those would have been provided by the enrichment plant. Temp jobs as a nuclear janitor won't. Then again, Ohio voted for Obama. You got what you wanted. Are you happy with it so far? How is that Hope And Change working out for you? Doing a lot of "hoping and changing" while on unemployment? |

1 So you being a VETERAN should good and well know the importance of supporting OUR country and should quit bringing Bush up when the Obama Administration decides they want to support the French Govt. You did see how much the French have helped our military right? Believe me if the Bush Administration made this decision the criticism would be the same....the fact is that it wasn't so OWN UP! |

1 Nah, that dog won't hunt. Dems blamed Bush from Day One for everything that was supposedly bad, from the economy to the fact that their crap stunk. Well, now that Your Messiah is in office, turnabout is fair play. You're going to have to eat the same crap sandwich you forced us to take a bite of the previous eight years. If you can blame Bush for everything, then Obombah gets the same blame, starting at noon on Jan. 20th of this year. Deal with it, suckers. You wanted this bum, now you got him. Obama lied through his teeth on this Piketon deal, and I'm not about to let you spin it away blaming Bush just to save Your (False) Messiah. |

1 Thank you for getting in touch with my office. I appreciate your question about whether I read every word of bills that come before me. While I study every major section of a bill, I do not read every word. Because members of Congress have a responsibility to meet with constituents, travel in the state, and work on emerging issues affecting Ohioans and the nation as a whole, we rely on staff members to assist us in poring through legislation. I am fortunate to have an excellent staff to assist me. Thank you again for sharing your concerns with me. Sincerely, Sherrod Brown United States Senator |

2 Consider; thousands of high paying technical jobs are done away with when the mechanism to retain them (and add additional similar “shovel ready” jobs) is right in front of us for the taking. The President of the United States while campaigning, firmly and unequivocally stated his full support for this project and after getting the votes he wanted for his promise has turned his back on his word, his people and his country. Piketon, Ohio is a quiet out of the way town that has in one way shape or form seen to heart of this country’s needs since the beginning of the atomic age. It is now destined for clean-up and more than likely removal from the map. These heinous acts should not be accepted by the people of this country! Why are we here? We are here not because the economy dictates it, not because the industry is no longer needed, not because you or I are haven’t a choice in the matter and it was CERTAINLY not because of technical or financial preparedness on the part of USEC. I have 3 independent documents stating exactly the opposite from folks more qualified to make this determination than some bureaucrat making decisions based on how he or she will personally benefit from those decisions--regardless of who or what is at stake. We are here because a group of people who claim to be Americans are nothing more than common politicians. A certainty—The decision to say no to USEC did not have the best interest of this country in mind when it was made. To determine the reasoning for this horrible, horrible choice, one need look no further than the politician who gets the richest or gains more political clout as a result. Finally, I don’t care what political party you choose to affiliate with and I don’t care whether or not you are pro or Anti nuclear. What I care about is my country and the ability of those I love to have a life comparable to the one I’ve had so far. Being at the mercy of foreign powers is not going to get that done any more than the belief that wind and solar is the answer. The DOE has seen to that with full backing of the president. I urge anyone reading this to elevate the facts stated here to the national media if you have the means. Unfortunately, I do not. |
